The beach area is gorgeous. The property is beautiful. The rooms are spacious. Very lush and tropical looking. The employees are not very friendly and quite a few bordering rude. The food is good. The resteraunts are nice selection without reservations. The nightly entertainment was a little lacking, just ok but nice. We've stayed at Excellence in Cancun several times in past and received beyond 5 star service so we felt that the employees here could really up their game quite a bit to be anywhere the same level as their Mexico resorts.

The staff was top notch and truly make you feel like you’re family. Hanser (supervisor at most of the restaurants at if not all) was awesome prioritized your needs and was very hospitable. Emmanuel and his partner at the Martini Bar was amazing every day. Jonathan at The Grill was a great waiter. The Excursion VIP La Hacienda was the highlight of the trip. Mauricio our guide was fantastic all day and Junior our photographer was a delight. The Catamaran tour was disappointing and we would definitely do more research next time but was still a good time. Breakfast was great everyday at the buffet. The negatives were the vendors on the beach were overwhelming and kept coming unfortunately. This made it hard to relax and enjoy our time. Overall 9/10 would do it again!

We were greeted by the amazing Nicky at the front desk and received above and beyond service from all the staff. Property is immaculately maintained and clean. My wife and i just spent 10 wonderful days at Excellence El Carmen! The hotel room was clean and comfortable! The staff that we had interacted with for the most part were wonderful! They were very friendly and helpful! The food that was available for us to eat was very tasty and fresh! We will definately return to this hotel again for another vacation !

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Excellence El Carmen, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. My room was spotless, with fresh linens and a meticulously maintained bathroom. It was clear that the housekeeping team takes great pride in their work. Public areas were equally well-kept, providing a welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. What truly stood out was the dedication of the staff. Every interaction, from the front desk to the restaurant, was marked by genuine kindness and a willingness to go above and beyond. They were always available to offer recommendations and ensure that my stay was as enjoyable as possible. Overall, Excellence El Carmen is a gem of a hotel. Exceptional service, pristine cleanliness, and a friendly staff make it a place I would gladly return to. Highly recommended!

Excellence El Carmen is a beautiful property, my qife and I had a great experience. The staff, sevice and food were all top notch. There was plenty of beach seating with beach service. There are locals making rounds daily selling everything from sunglasses to massages. Since we travel alot this has become the norm if I am not interested Ipolitely tell them no thank you and they move on. Overall I would visit Excellence El Carmen again. We enjoyed our experience soo much that the Excellence brand will be included in our future travels to other parts of the world.

Initially had a very bad experience during check in. Can’t remember the name of the woman who checked me in but she was very rude to me and my husband, I went there for my honeymoon and did not even receive a congratulations from the person, even though I called and emailed beforehand stating it was a honeymoon and the lady clearly knew it was for this reason we went on the getaway as I asked her if it was in the reservation and she stated it was but refused to give me any information about the benefits we would get for going there on our honeymoon. The rest of the staff was pleasant. We enjoyed the service from Roberto and Maritza in the pool area as well as Estivenson our waiter from the Asian Restaurant. Angelo was algo very nice when he brought us our breakfast to the room, The food overall was edible but not the best, would rate it 3.5/5. The beach area was great, very clean. Overall would rate the hotel 4/5.

My wife and I stayed in one of their swim out suites one of the most comfortable rooms and an all inclusive we've ever stayed in The lobby, the restaurants, and all the facilities were just immaculate Even though the sand is not the perfect white sand that you might see further south, I thought the beach was one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever stayed at, and I have been too many many all inclusive The staff and the service was incredible. Granted we went in low season so there weren't a lot of people there, but I can't imagine the staff wouldn't be perfect anytime. About the food, many people complain about food at all inclusive this one however it was probably the best food and all inclusive that we've been to. Was it perfect no but it's all inclusive If you're a foodie, you always could find something wrong. But if you're an average person, the food at this hotel was fantastic. The only downside was the beach buffet, not so hot but if you order the pre-cook order the made to order hamburgers and pizza. It was fantastic. My wife and I have been going to all inclusive for about 20 years. And this one definitely ranks as the top one or two we've ever been to.
