We had the best time during our stay at the RIU, the whole resort was very clean, the food was great everyone was super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. The resort has lots of great swimming pools 3 with swim up bars a fantastic beach and 24/7 food, drink and entertainment. We loved the entertainment we have stayed at resorts before and the resort is dead after 7 and we were bored NOT at the RIU we loved it!!! Will definitely be back and will recommend to all our family and friends

There are lots of mosquitoes. My husband and I both were bit by mosquitoes.So many times it was scary.We had mosquito bites all over us. That from the hotel room and halls .. . the toilet cracked in the back and looked like they tried to put it back together.That's just unacceptable.. The air conditioner didn't work. I had a roach in my bed. There was a roach in the bathroom floor dead. I reported the air-conditioned to housekeeping AND I reported the situation to Sebastian who was at the front desk instead of him taking notes. He said he would, but he continued to keep singing. And Entertaining other guests and myself included.I ended up testing positive for EColi we fell ill n i waa texted .I have to have surgery in march due to the overwhelming bowel movement.I do not recommend this place.. i reported this also to cheap tickets being that they represent them.I still have not heard anything back for them.Nor have I received a refund.I have documentation showing that I tested positive for e.Coli the roaches, mosquitoes and toilet. The food was horrible

The bathroom needed a through cleaning. It appeared that they only changed the towels and mopped the floors. It was very visible that the area around sink hadn't been cleaned in a while. There were also alot of mosquitoes in the room. While the floors and bedroom area were fairly clean, only 2 out of the 5 electrical points in my roombwere working.

The staff didn’t support the room needs.For example called for water 2 days in a row and never received it. The food on the buffet was sitting out too long, old , and undercooked pastas and breads. There were roaches in the lobby. The ceiling fan didn’t work and the air took a long time to get cold. The towels could have been newer and towel service had to constantly add. Long lines to get into steakhouse and you couldn’t reserve online so never received a reservation.

My wife and I are avid travelers and have visited RIU's, in different countries, on a couple of occasions. We normally don't comment or write reviews. Though this is not a bashing session, I would like to mention a few things. There weren't any rags in the room and when we asked for some, they never brought them. We saw several roaches in the hotel as well. The food was subpar......either undercooked, overcooked or hard as if has been sitting out. When asked for water to be brought to the room, they came about 12 hours later. As far as making reservations, it was confusing as to how to gain it at several restaurants. There also seemed to be a horrid sewage smell in the elevators. Finally, we weren't given the room that was selected. We selected a room with an ocean view, but instead got room with a view of palm trees. We really love the RIU's, but this one wasn't a pleasurable experience. The highlight of the trip was the jerk chicken by the pool! How can we make this right?

We had to switch rooms 3 times. The first the smell was horrible in the room. The second room had no ac, the phone didn’t work, the shower lights didn’t work, and the finale was when the power went out. They switched us to a third room which was better but overall I wouldn’t stay there again.

The bed sheets was dirty,toilets dirty mirrors dirty,you have to keep a card in the switch so the lights don't shut off.The ceiling fans is fallen off the ceiling. Raw sewage smelled the whole room up even the hallways smelled of sewage.The food was horrible at the buffet.Some of the staff was not friendly 😒 If you want to party this is for you but thats all you will be drunk and hungry,During breakfast and lunch all you see is people with plates of bread.The Jerk chicken was good they are open only 3hours. The flies be all of the food in the buffet area.

El hotel muy limpio , el staff de la piscina agradable. Los bartenders muy atento al cliente. Lo malo fue la comida en los restaurantes ,sin sabor o sobrecocinada. La atencion del supervisor en el restaurante del steak fue muy ruda al dar una queja hacia mi persona diciendo que esos tigres llegan tarde y quieren que le den 1 una mesa. No fue profesional al hablar asi de un cliente solo por llegar tarde a la hora de una reservacion.

The staff was absolutely amazing — truly the highlight of my stay. If it weren’t for them, I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed my trip as much as I did. They were friendly, attentive, and really tried to make the experience better. Unfortunately, the rest of the resort fell short for me. The entertainment was disappointing. The DJ wasn’t great — the music was old, not uplifting, and the overall vibe felt very stale. The DJ also left around 11 p.m., and the party moved into the club next door, which had a strong sewage smell that made it hard to enjoy. Cleanliness and maintenance were also an issue. Several parts of the property had an unpleasant odor. Even while showering, the water made the bathroom smell bad. This was really off-putting. Food quality was inconsistent. My friend ended up with food poisoning. At the nacho bar, the burgers were either way too hard or undercooked. While the indoor dining hall had a nice selection, the food didn’t always sit well with our stomachs. I also expected more activities on-site. There weren’t many things for guests to do, and it felt like the resort could offer more entertainment options throughout the day. “Do Not Drink the Water” signs weren’t very visible. When people are on vacation, they’re relaxed and may forget that things are different in other countries, so clearer signage would really help. Overall, the staff deserves five stars, but the resort itself needs improvement in entertainment, food safety,cleanliness, activities

I honestly hated this hotel. The rooms reeked of mildew the second you walk in it hits your nose instantly. They don’t even provide basic face towels unless you go ask for them. There’s no microwave in the room at all, which is ridiculous and super inconvenient. The “free food” was disgusting, and the drinks were just as bad. The service overall was terrible. They’re strict about leaving the property, which I get for safety, but everything else felt like a mess. They even double-charged my brother for WiFi. We stayed only three days, but they forced him to pay for the full week, and the staff didn’t care at all when I tried to explain. To make it worse, the toilet completely stopped working and wouldn’t flush. Honestly, I’d give the room a 5/10 at best and that’s being generous.
