Attractions and tips
The most popular section of Vegas is the Las Vegas Strip. This is where you’ll find the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada” sign, and numerous well-known casinos, including the Luxor, Bellagio, Tropicana, Venetian, Caesar’s Palace, the Mirage and Treasure Island.
Some Vegas freebies include the downtown lightshow, which is called “Fremont Street Experience,” the Fountains of Bellagio and the Treasure Island pirate stunt show.
Las Vegas is in the desert, so you’re going to be hot in the summer. In fact, the temperatures generally reach over 100 degrees, and the nights can stay hot and sticky.
During the Winter the temperature cools down and the city becomes very popular with tourists over the holiday season, as Vegas has become the West Coast Times Square on New Year’s Eve. If you prefer cooler weather, plan on visiting in October, November, February or March.
