The El Cortez was a great place to stay! It was our first visit to Las Vegas so we had no idea how loud Fremont St would be (right outside our window). The music was VERY loud until about 3 am - but hey - we were there for the fun anyways. We stayed in the tower and our room was very nice and comfortable. The Casino was fun and the staff was friendly. This hotel has a story and lots of charm! Would definitely stay here again, maybe with some earplugs.

The property itself needed maintain the rooms, we had broken shower heads, leaky tub, moldy restroom, the lights inside the RR were also very dim. Would stay again but maybe try one of the og 47 vs the double bed rooms.

Other than having to change rooms twice upon arrival (once because they gave us 2 doubles and not 1 king and the second hadn't been cleaned yet) im very satisfied with my stay. The person who checked me in could have been more friendly and accommodating considing the room issues was their fault but ultimately, I'd stay there again.

I payed for and reserved a no -smoking room. When I got there it wasn't available. I had to pay $30 for an upgrade. I believe I should get my $30 back

The hotel location is great for weekend events, the room overall is clean, they clean room and change towels every day even you are not required for, their wide driveway makes picking up or dropping off people easy, their staffs are friendly and helpful. But because of the weekend events there will be somewhat noisy at night. Also, the room looks old and AC controller does not work, shower has weak water flow, some of the towels have strange smell.

The staff at the Cortez was amazing. They were helpful and friendly and always available if needed. The outside noise was insane and definitely interrupted sleep. The noise reverberated off the walls of my room until well past 4am every day. So don't expect much sleep if thats important to you. The room was nice although i didn't have a shower door for some reason.
