We are a family of five who stayed at The Grand for seven nights. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. On the second night, we found a cockroach in our room. The hotel arranged fumigation but refused our request to switch rooms, and we could not access the room for part of the day.
The property feels outdated. The elevator in Building 94 was broken for our entire stay and was never fixed. The shuttle layout is also inconvenient, with the main hub located at the back of the lobby while all external transfers depart from the front, requiring unnecessary walking.
Dining was average at best. We tried Habibi, Casa Mia, Jade, The Grill, Cusco, Tavola, MOMO, Caribeno, Grand Buffet, and Circus. Circus is friendly to kids, but the food is poor. Alcoholic drinks are extremely weak. Service was inconsistent, and at Casa Mia a server broke a glass and did not apologize even though shards flew near our feet. The only standout was the dessert shop behind the lobby.
The positive side: the waterpark, Bounce Zone, Playroom, and arcade areas kept the kids happy and busy throughout the trip.
Overall, great for children but not a resort we would return to or recommend.
