Cabanas with the best views of the ocean or next to the pool are not free, and we were told about the spa a few too many times, but overall, spacious room, beautiful ocean views, nice AC, and great service, entertainment, and food-loved it!

The staff were flawless & treated us like guests in their own homes. The food was great and we enjoyed every meal. The nightly entertainment was wonderful. We heard the new owner is letting every employee go while renovating is being done. That would be a tragic mistake that would ensure we wouldn’t return. Please keep your wonderful staff and realize they ARE your resort not a shiny new tub!

Our stay overall was pleasant. The property is beautiful and the staff is eager to please. The property was confusing to get around due to lack of directions. Food options weren’t clearly marked especially with allergy friendly foods. With a room on the first floor be prepared to sleep in a rave. A large bird patrolled the property keeping the pigeons away, but was alarming to see. Overall we had a great time, but these frw items kept it from being a 10 out of 10.

I spent 4 days at Hyatt Zilara Cancun and would return. Hotel was clean and everyone was friendly. The pools were ice cold and we couldn’t swim. The ocean was beautiful but it was cold as well. It was warmer than the pools. They kept the beach clean and we always found a chair to sit. If you wanted a cabana you had to claim one by 7 am or you’re out of luck. I like you could get as many towels as you want without having to have a card with the threat of being charged $50 if you lose it. Entertainment every day at the pool and at night in the lobby. Concierge service I felt was not great. They seemed to cater to the “rented” cabanas instead of the “free” cabanas and when trying to get their attention felt like we were disturbing them. We tipped well too so that made it harder to swallow. SPA was AMAZING! Every one needs to do the spa. Food was ok. The Mexican restaurant we felt was the worst. Asiana was our favorite. The Thai chicken wings were the best we ever had. Was disappointed about the Mexican food. No guacamole no where! They did cook out at the pool and the burgers and hot dogs were delicious. Room service was spot on and they kept our fridge full. I really liked that this was a smaller resort and didn’t feel overly crowded. I loved how safe we felt. They are on their game with safety even on the beach which is public. There were folks trying to sell us something but if you politely say no they moved on.
