Bar and restaurant was great, but they needed more help. Those two young ladies were hustling and did a good job considering the large amount of customers. Breakfast would have been ok if the food was hot. Eggs had cheese in them-- wish they were plain.

Hotel was clean but dated. At first I thought the sheets were stained but upon closer inspection there were sections that were threadbare so they looked grey instead of white. All 4 pillows were lumpy. When I checked in the desk person didn't look me in the eye once. This was an average hotel. Clean but not very comfortable. The location was perfect for my road trip.

The idea of using an old building in a downtown area was nice. However, the property was in poor condition and not well maintained. I am sure the building does mot meet code for fire safety. The check-in was ok, but not very helpful. Probably will not stay again.

I liked that the property looked historic. I would have liked to have seen the hotel history showcased. There was some, but not for a history buff. The attendants were polite and courteous I did not like the view from the hotels (West side) was the garbage container areas for several buildings. Limited towels. No clue where to throw our garbage out (for 4 days and 3 nights). Problem getting coffee, everything seemed to be stored down or up stairs. You had to wait for attendants to go get coffee from another floor. Would prefer not to stay here again. But would stay if nothing else available.

This facility is definitely a step above other Best Westerns I've stayed at. I had a situation at my apartment, leak upstairs that came into my bathroom. It was nice to not have to deal with issues at this hotel after dealing with them at home. The breakfast was good. Bed was comfortable and the room / bathroom were well kept and clean.
