The staff was good and pleasant but hotel needs a lot work. Not very clean. Elevator not clean and secured to go up to the rooms. Someone tried to open our hotel room a few times. The the heated pool was not working, full of sand, and the water was not as hot as expected. Heated pool in the women's spa was working but they wanted to charge me $10 to use yet the one by the main pool was broken. Kids arcade seemed like a scam.

The room was dirty and had wall paper peeling off in a lot of places. 3 towels in the bathroom had long black hairs on them and the hot tub was closed everyday for some reason. Then I was hit with an extra $100 charge at the end for parking and “service fees” of $50 a day.

Always enjoy Bally’s and the nice rooms and large bathrooms; however, this last day was not as satisfactory. I stayed on a Monday night and most of the parking garage and grounds were empty meaning there weren’t too many patrons, I appreciated the room on the 17th floor from the attendant but did not expect to be placed in room 1727 that was directly next to the elevators. Therefore, as a light sleeper, it was a rough night to say the least with the noise.

We went because we wanted to take our kids to the pool and himot tub over the weekend. That was the central focus of the trip. At first, we were told the pool area would be closed from 11/17- 11/19. Then, on Saturday the 20th, we were told the pool area would be open Sunday the 21st. Then, on Sunday, it still wasn't open. went down on Saturday morning to address our frustrations about the situation and asked for a manager and was told the manager would be in by 11 a.m. and would call my friend (he left his name and number). After not receiving a call, he went down around 3 and the front desk representative said the manger was in a meeting until 5. At 5:20, my friend went again to speak with the manager and the rep. said she'd see if the manager was available. What she didn't know was that I was standing at the side of the check-in area where she walked and I could clearly hear her say "The guy with the black hat is back." After that, an Asian woman in her 50s(?) left (the manager?) and the rep told my friend that the manager was still busy and would call him back. The manager never called him. This lack of professionalism along with our main source of entertainment for the children not being available made this an incredibly frustrating trip. Had management acknowledged that the missing pool service was worth receiving compensation for our stay instead of hiding from us, Ballys could be a place for us to visit again.

Hotel was horribly understaffed. It took 45 minutes to check in. At one point, after check in, I needed security and/or maintenance to assist in getting me back in my room. I was told they were going to help and nobody ever showed up. Had it not been for my husband finding a work around we would have never gotten back in our room. The heating system was horrible and the room I was in had tremendous damage. The front desk does not appear to enjoy their jobs they look overworked and miserable. I will never stay at this property again.

Really not sure why it took 15 minutes to check in. I was the only person in line. The front desk person needed a thousand keystrokes and a manager to get me some room keys. The room smells like cigarette smoke despite being non smoking. Indoor pool is closed. It’s a struggle to understand why people think this hotel is somehow better than Harrahs, Caesar’s or even the GN. It’s a real bummer.

#1: I didn't know there was breakfast. No one mentioned it. #2: Our room wasn't exactly clean or error-free. There were nail clippings on the floor, a plastic tag (from clothing, I assume), a broken door covering a barely cool refrigerator, and limited to no hot water in the evenings. Shower in the morning? All good. Oh, and we had no water for a few hours the first evening. #3: The hours for the amenities, especially the gym and pool, are odd. It's a tourist town, yet the hours the gym and pool are open would coincide with the times most people might be doing tourist stuff. #4: I really don't understand the $20 parking fee PLUS a high resort fee. Nothing about this casino was worth it. The fact that you have to walk through a wall of smoke to get anywhere is discouraging, too. #5: Ending with a positive - at least it was quiet and close to the parts of town we wanted to go. I wouldn't stay here again, though. It wasn't worth the money.
