Booked ocean view and it would have been great but there was two rows of scaffolding outside our balcony obstructing the view. The sliding glass window was also so corroded that we couldn’t see out of it. Wasn’t very happy. I sent message to the hotel but never got a response.

The room was fine, and the location was fine. But the hotel had construction going on, and the manager still put us in a room right next to it. When I checked in, there was nothing outside—but within an hour, there were workers on scaffolding staring straight into our window! When we asked to change rooms, the manager (I think his name was Vincent) flat-out refused. The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at a Crowne Plaza. We eventually got moved, but he kept arguing with us. The place looks run-down too—dirty carpets in the halls, overall shabby vibe. The room and the location itself was the only decent part. Definitely do not stay in this hotel. I would have given a zero if possible.

Balcony with partial view of ocean. Unfortunately we had some scaffolding in view too, due to exterior work. The Manager, Mr. Morales, was oustanding. Greeted you, asked what he could help with etc... We ate at the restaurant and bar while staying. At first because of convenience, but they had a diverse menu, and great staff between the two venues, so we kept opting to stay there to eat. It was great to walk right out onto beach boardwalk, the Ventura Pier and stroll and watch surfers. I would definitely stay here again.

Valet was efficient, room was clean and comfortable, beach view would have been great if not for the scaffolding in front of the balcony…which was oddly and a bit terrifyingly angled and sagging a little bit (probably why the scaffolding was there). Room service for dessert, which was overpriced by about 30 bucks for a microwaved apple…whatever it was that my girlfriend got. Otherwise excellent stay.

They are doing repairs and the scaffolding hindered our view and we were celebrating our 30 year anniversary. The next day after we spoke about the construction hindering our view and privacy, we were moved to a suite on the opposite side of the hotel. It was so much nicer. The staff were helpful and friendly and the GM Danny took care of us. We will definitely be staying again and referring friends and family

The only thing that I can suggest is if you can please update your room descriptions. When it indicates Ocean view, it is actually a partial ocean view. No room is directly facing the ocean.
