Centralized control of heat/air is ridiculous! Our room was 78 degrees the entire time with no option to adjust. You can request a fan or extra blankets. I assume this is the hotels way of saving money. We also tried to get a late night snack but there were no options in the hotel. We were told we could go across the street. Very disappointing.

The room was outdated. We did not get a new golden nugget refurbished room, we got the old hard rock room which was fine. Room was standard, bed comfy but the thermostat was not controllable and even with instructions the room never once went below 80 degrees. It was unbearably hot. We complained both days we were there. Made it impossible to sleep. They removed the taxes and fees for the convenience which was kind but they should not rent the rooms out if - even with instructions the room can’t get to a reasonable temp. Other than that experience was average.

When I checked the staff was very friendly and courteous. We also got help with our luggage and the person who helped was helpful and gave us good tips for sightseeing. The only hiccup was the room don’t have a refrigerator and when I asked to move rooms that had a refrigerator they said it was not necessary and sent one right up. I was happy about that!

Very dusty room, sink overflowing, AC didn’t work, front desk staff with very bad attitude not willing to accommodate you by all means. Stay away from this hotel, there are a lot better hotels in the area. Just we reserve here since we had a great experience with their Las Vegas hotel, but there are huge difference, like a day and night! The manager didn’t care at all to for our concern, it’s very sad to see!!!

GN is currently undergoing renovations. Tahoe feels like Las Vegas with its resort fees and parking fees. Lakeview floor 9 had great views of the lake. Oyster bar was awesome.

The room was beautiful and it seemed to be recently remodeled. The casino are is under construction for remodeling. This was not mentioned anywhere on there web site. The exterior area was very confusing, it said check-in when parking, but nothing on the exterior of the building. When we finally got to what looked like a temporary check-in desk the staff was extremely friendly. I stated that I had some handicap issues she explained where the parking was, but there was nothing on the building telling us if this where we should be. After walking around a while, the one thing I can’t do well, and with some assistance from a worker we got to our room. The biggest problem was the long walk from our room to the casino and restaurant areas. That was a major problem and issue. My wife and I love the Tahoe area and have visited over the last 45 years or so. But our chances of staying with you again are probably slim at this time.
