Spacious room , quiet and comfortable. Loved having the kitchenette since we prefer to make our own meals. The full sized refrigerator with a separate freezer is so much better for travelers than the usual mini fridge. Vanity area was also large so that more than one person could use the mirror at a time.

Great access to the beach and the town area. The area felt safe and parking was easy. The upstairs walkway was questionable with a strange tilt and patch holes throughout.

My review has nothing to do with the property itself. I have stayed here before and had a wonderful time and adored the jet tub and view of river from my room but this go around i had a move job in astoria so i was in town on business and my job went later than expected so i wanted to get a hotel and chill and drive back to portland the next day so i researched and found this one to be the best bang for my buck but when i arrived there were instructions for after hours pick up so i wasnt able to get in since i booked after hours but there was no warning or knowledge of this being the case. They refunded me but gotta wait 7-10 business days. Really inconvenient and unfortunate. If a hotel is not gonna be available for check in after hours then they should let potential patrons know that. Now i am out about a hundred dollars til it shows up in my account and have bills so very unfortuante but the property and rooms are exceptional. Don't make same mistake i did.

Nicely updated for this type of motel. Great location with easy walking distance to beach, restaurants or shops. Our unit had a patio with river view. Peaceful. For rooms without a patio or balcony, there is a shared patio space overlooking the river. They also have bikes to check out but we did not get a chance to use them.

The room was adequate. The only glaring problem we had was the ridiculously loud plumbing. We had a second floor room in the corner of the building around the corner from the office and whenever someone in another room took a shower the noise from the pipes was so loud you couldn’t hold a conversation in the room. Other than that the room was fine

Traveling with pets

Room was very clean & fresh. No artificial odour just clean. The host gave me a downstairs room with parking right in front I am a senior traveling with pets and she made it VERY convenient for me which I REALLY appreciated.
