The rooms need a total upgrade. The furniture felt sticky and the carpet felt dirty when walking on it. The shower pressure, or shower head, were not good. The staff were very good and friendly, especially the front desk clerk and the lovely woman setting up the breakfast, which, btw, was very good with several options. The whole place is showing its age unfortunately

We experienced a strong foul odor upon opening the room door similar to a moldy carpet or a wet dog. I called the front desk right away and asked the overnight attendant for a different room. She offered to look for one and call me back. While waiting for her call, I went to use the restroom. When I turned on the light in the bathroom a roach scurried under a baseboard. At that point I knew we could not stay in any room at that hotel. The toilet and trash can were dirty. I was so turned off, I didn’t even use the bathroom. I called my husband who had gone to park our car and told him about what I saw. Instead of accepting keys to the other room we informed the attendant why we could not stay there at all. She did not have the authority to issue a refund so she provided us with the business card of the guest service director who we could follow up with for a refund. I’ve stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites numerous times and this is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this. Such a treat after 10 hours on the road!

I liked the property until someone went into my room when I was out Saturday and helped themself to my white Samsung plug in mobile telephone charger from the desk. The facility was neat, clean. The bed was comfortable. But the theft of my property really disappointed me. I will never stay at another Hampton Inn.
