The 80-mile stretch of Yucatán peninsula coastline, which meanders through Tulum and to the Punta Allen peninsula, is known as the Riviera Maya. The ancient ruins of Mayan civilizations and the biosphere reserve of Sian Ka'an are the main attractions in the region. Scuba divers will find abundant sites to explore, including the cavern Cenote Dos Ojo, Mesoamerican reefs, and the Puerto Morelos reef.
