Our experience at this resort was disappointing overall. The customer service was noticeably lacking — the staff didn’t go out of their way to make our stay comfortable or enjoyable. For example, when we asked for help securing a same-day restaurant reservation, we were simply told they do not do that, with no effort made to check for cancellations or offer alternatives. On top of that, we were turned away from a half-empty restaurant because we “didn’t have a reservation,” which left us frustrated and unwelcome. To make matters worse, we were even turned away from the main breakfast restaurant one morning because they said they were too busy — something that should never happen at a resort of this caliber. The food and amenities were also quite mediocre — nothing particularly memorable or impressive, and certainly not what you’d expect from a resort of this level. Overall, the experience felt indifferent and impersonal.

The check-in process is literally a nightmare, you have to stand in line for almost 2 hours just to check in and come back later to get your key activated. The services is very poor, they don’t care at all of trying to solve an issue. In the restaurant if you go with a group of 7 or more they can’t put 2 tables together. I believe the resorts is really overpriced. Although the areas are beautiful and a lot things to do ( that you need to figure it out by you own ) it’s not worth the price.

All of the ice machines were out of service, the door to the balcony was extremely heavy and the lock was tricky to operate, the hammock on the balcony was not tied properly making a person basically lay on the floor when using it. Our welcome was very good, staff professional and available in the lobby and around the rooms. Also, everyone was friendly and helpful although it was hard to find Las Cuevas as it seemed we got a different answer from everyone we talked to. The signage could be much better. The staff on our Xoximilco trip was great but it seemed long. It was easy to get to the park because, again the staff was very helpful. Overall, above average.

The hotel is great for families with kids, mainly because it’s very convenient for visiting the nearby theme parks. That said, our check-in took over two hours — despite having many staff at the front desk, the overall efficiency was quite low, and each guest seemed to take a long time to process. There are many restaurants on site, but the food is basically the same everywhere — it feels like eating the same dishes in different places. Unfortunately, our room (No. 5527) had a strong urine smell coming from the bathtub, which is right next to the bed, so the odor was noticeable even while sleeping. You may want to avoid this room if possible. Additionally, there was a communication issue during our stay. When I asked to speak with a manager about the problem, the staff member who answered the call insisted there was no manager available, which was hard to believe. Only after I firmly insisted and mentioned that I had recorded the conversation did the manager finally come forward to handle the situation personally. Overall, I would say this is a hotel with service quality that still has plenty of room for improvement.
