Overall I made the most of our stay here. I rate this place a 7.8 out of 10. The staff were all so nice and helpful. However, this place needs a modern update or update in general when it comes to the rooms, food and overall aesthetic of the entrance. I feel like this place has so much potential to be such a fancy jungle resort if they had better food, updated the rooms, and cleaned out a bit of the excess jungle trees that bring in a lot of mosquitos. Also if they found a way to preserve the coolness of the water in the pool. There’s no reason in the middle of summer they have a pool that feels like a jacuzzi like be forreal.

I had a great stay at this resort, people are very friendly and the resort is very clean. The cleaning staff was great. The food was great. Overall my friends and I had a great time.

The resort was nice however there’s always room for improvement. Somethings was not to my liking, however I did had a nice time. I will say the beach was absolutely beautiful.

Catalonia Royal Tulum
Great service overall. There were 2 thing that could be improved. The rooms are quite warm. If was difficult to sleep because the rooms were so hot. The second thing is they struggle to accommodate groups larger than 6. We had 12 and could not all eat together even though we ate early and all the restaurants were quite empty. They even tried to get us to pay them $120 for us to eat together. All in all I will definitely be back next year!

The beach is the win here!
This was our yearly girls trip, party of 3. The ocean is the gem here. It's beautiful, clear & warm. The customer services staff was kind, friendly & helpful. Pool staff was entertaining. The pool was very nice and I spent many hours in it. The food was good (enough). This hotel is nothing special. There are barely any chairs or tables in the room. No place for table top items. There was no lugguage bag. Room service and food from room service was poor, often late & inaccurate despite ordering in advance with notes or talking with hotel management. We usually only ordered coffee & it was wrong. We were often left with dirty dishes in our room that we had to call guest services to clear many times. You cannot leave food items outside because of animals in the habitat. We waited hours for additional linens. Hotel management & system was just broken. Additionally, the premium area is front & center, rather off to the side. Which was a little off putting, especially since it was empty. Overall the resort had poor attendance, which was nice for beach & pool chairs but unusual. That should be a clue. I cannot imagine what service would look like if the resort had more guest. I do not recommend staying here. There are other resorts that offer same or better aminities with better service operations.

The check-in process was easy and we were greeted with mango mimosas and an ice cold towel which was refreshing in the Mexican heat and humidty. The Romance Suites are spacious, there was a bottle of champagne along with fruits and chocolate awaiting us when we arrived. All of the staff were so polite and helpful. The Spa, Pool and Beach were awesome. We loved all the coordinated activities - aqua gym, volleyball, dance lessons, karaoke, yoga and all the positive energy. My entire family had a blast and can't wait to come back to visit.

This is a small hotel, overall set within a jungle. Has 6 buildings/3 floors each with no elevators. Caotis animals roaming around (Very simular to racoons) the hotel, they will not bother you, they just want food. Resort is located in Riverira Maya, 1 hour away from Tulum airport. Rooms: Beautiful, updated and spacious rooms. Rooms have fridge stocked daily (included/free), safe, balcony with chairs/table, scale, comfortable beds, robes, iron board/iron, blow dryer and zoom in mirror with light. Large rain shower head. A/c does not feel any lower then 73 degrees even after putting it on 60 degrees (this is normal for them), but it does have a ceiling fan. Room service: 24 hour room service with great service, if you don't see something you want, write it in the notes and they will try their best to get it for you. Order with time, they take 45-70 minutes give or take. This is also included, no additional fee. Concierge: Is amazing! Very nice and attentive. You can request a cart to take you within the property. Just call the front desk. Beach: Lifeguard on duty all day, contains lots of lounge chairs, sofas and side tables. Very clean and safe. Easy access and has 3 clean showers. Waiters come by to get your drink orders (included/free). Pool: Pool is very large with one side of it being for pool volleyball. Great swim up bar in middle of pool with stools. Towards the end of out trip, it seemed the pool needed cleaning, we informed them and they disregarded it (see pic
