One of the great attractions of Honolulu is the Pearl Harbor Memorial and memorials to the USS Arizona and the USS Missouri.

Honolulu was home to the family of legendary King Kamehameha I, who moved his entire court there in 1809 following a decisive battle during which he assumed control of the Hawaiian Islands. The royal housing complex remains at the junction of Queen and Bethel Streets.
It is natural to expect warm, tropical weather in Honolulu year-round, with frequent and sudden showers. Waikiki lodging is the most popular and expensive.
