Girls weekend
This was for a girls weekend. The hotel needs some deep cleaning. The front desk staff was not helpful or friendly upon check in. The room itself had black like substance on the ceiling and windows. The bathroom door didn’t not shut properly and was peeling. The room had a musty smell and dampness to it. There are no beverage vending machines onsite even though indicated. The only thing that made it 3 stars are the beds were clean and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here for vacation and overall we liked the place. It was clean and quiet with a very comfortable bed. It isn’t right on the beach but it’s only a couple of minutes away. It’s very easy getting in and out of the hotel to go places with plenty of parking. Would recommend.

I was told by two different ladies I can do early check in at 8am for an additional $50 fee. I called once more to confirm the morning of and a man told me I would be charged the full price of one night if I come before 10.

A Little Left to be Desired
The housekeeping staff was average at best. We requested a cleaning because of leftover sand from our beach trip, and there were a few grains remaining in the bathroom and on the carpet. The staff could have been a little more welcoming as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there was a little left to be desired.

Absolutely disgusting hotel! We planned a last minute trip to Myrtle Beach this was the best "decent hotel" available. I have seen motels cleaner than this. We checked in at 3:30 pm. The room smelled moldy on the 4th floor. We then spotted hair on the beds. we asked the hotel staff to change our room. They offered us another room only for us to realize it smelled the same! at- least there was no hair on the bed. We tried to focus on our trip and just deal with the bad smell and headed out to dinner. Upon our return when we opened the covers shockingly there was hair in this bed too!! We called the front desk to ask them if someone can please change the bedding sheet set. The only solution we got was pair of sheets. EXTREMELY nasty hotel!

The room itself was nice enough and was fairly clean. The issue were the tourist trappy policies. We had an early flight into Myrtle and wanted to leave our luggage which we were told we could do. They allowed us to, but charged our card for the entirety of the stay in order to do so without the room being ready. Fair warning, luggage will be untagged and unmarked and will be left literally in an open space behind the desk. I felt paranoid about this and took a picture of where it was just in case. We found things to do for a couple hours at Broadway at the Beach, which is a 5 minute Uber ride away. We came back to the hotel around 2…thinking with a 3 PM check in that the room would be ready. But wait…. You may have seen that the Choice Hotels website says there will be a $25 fee for early check in. It was 2:10 PM when we decided to try to check in and was indeed told it was considered early…and that it would be $50. Not $25 as the site says. No explanation was given as to the discrepancy. We said no thanks to paying an extra $50 to get in the room 50 minutes early. We returned to the lobby at 2:50 and they finally did let us check in fee-free! It just sends a very unwelcoming vibe to your customer to have money-grabbing policies like this when it’s very likely the room was ready regardless. As mentioned above, the room itself was fairly nice and clean. Ubers are pretty cheap and you are a 5 minute trip from Broadway at the Beach and 10 minutes drive from the boardwalk
