Atlantic City is located on the southern end of New Jersey's coastline, between marshlands and the Atlantic Ocean. The theaters housed within the casinos make the city a great destination for live entertainment. Key facts

Most travelers stay in one of the large casinos in the center of town, and several smaller hotel options are located in nearby Absecon, just a few miles to the west. Once you're in town, walking is the best option. Affordable parking is also available at most locations. The city has its own small airport, the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY), but many visitors arrive via rail or bus after travelling to Philadelphia, which is 55 miles away.

The winters are cold with snow being a common occurrence, and the summers can be quite humid, but the ocean breeze will cool you down. One of Atlantic City's claims to fame is that its home to the annual Miss America pageant.
