Orlando International Airport (MCO) is located in Southeast Orlando, Florida situated between Highways 417, 528 and the Florida Turnpike. MCO is also accessible from Interstate 4, and all major routes reach downtown Orlando. Public transit, including shuttles to and from the Carnival Cruise Line port, is available to arriving and departing passengers.
Flights to McCarran International Airport (LAS) take five-to-seven hours, depending on stops. Passengers arriving at LAS can take I-215 or Tropicana Avenue to the Strip and Downtown via private car or public transit.
Attractions and tips
Las Vegas is famous for its gambling, entertainment and nightlife. Visitors should head to the Las Vegas Strip and check out Bellagio, the Venetian, Caesar’s Palace among other casinos, which offer gambling, buffets and shows. Adventurers can visit Stratosphere Tower to catch a sky-high rollercoaster ride.
Those looking for more laid-back entertainment can head to the Atomic Testing Museum and the Mob Museum. Tourists usually stay in one of the many casino hotels, but there are family-friendly hotels right around the corner from the Strip as well.
Las Vegas has a desert climate, so visitors should pack lightly but bring something warm for nights on the town. Anyone with a taste for adventure should head to the desert outside of town or to Rancho Drive where they’ll see historic Las Vegas.
