Five miles south of downtown Las Vegas, McCarran International Airport (LAS) seems more like one of the nearby casinos than an international airport. The terminal has more than 1,400 slot machines to tempt gamblers, while history buffs gravitate to the Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum on Level 2, above baggage claim.
Outside of LAS, and beyond the extravagant resorts and legendary performances in Vegas, the area hosts rodeos and bull riding at UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center, as well as rugby tournaments at Sam Boyd Stadium.
