I loved this place to stay. It is in a truly beautiful location and is a gorgeous old building. The rooms are charming and i would say the food is outstanding. I would definitely stay here again.
I did try to arrange an early, takeaway breakfast due to an early start but unfortunately this didn't happen but that was my only issue.
Great welcome from a couple of your team members and showed me to my room. Room
Is a little basic and the curtains didn’t quite cover the window so was really light early doors which kept me awake.
Breakfast quality was good but I didn’t see any option for orange juice or a cold drink which was a shame as everything else was good.
My fave place to stay, wary of giving a review as only a few rooms so often fully booked, however second choice is their other hotel The Fleece, just a few miles away in the valley.
We travelled down for an overnight stay ready for a funeral. The staff were very helpful, the room was beautifully clean and airy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous. It was lovely to be able to park the car easily and to walk on the common. We were very pleased and have booked to go again.
What's not to like ? Setting, building, rooms, restaurant, food , staff my first choice to stay when come to UK.
Just disappointed could not get in for more nights.
