"We absolutely loved our stay here. It is the perfect location as it’s very walkable and in the heart of the best shopping area in Kyoto. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had to (and were very excited to) extend our stay by 1 night and they made it happen with no problems. My boyfriend ended up proposing in Kyoto and the concierge Chihiro helped me find a place to get my nails done same day and book a celebratory dinner! She even called ahead to make sure the restaurant knew and they gave us yummy dessert. When we checked out, the hotel staff had a present waiting for us. We ended up shipping our bags to our next destination too which was super easy with their help. Overall, such a fantastic experience. "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect - with easy access to taxis when we needed to go somewhere outside of walking distance. The neighborhood around the hotel is great. The staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast was delicious!"

"This was my fav hotel from my Japan tour - I wish I could have stayed longer. The shower was AMAZING and the bed was very comfortable I had a great sleep. The complimentary breads and hot drinks throughout the day were lovely gesture. "

"No train noise as the nearby transportation (subway) is underground. I used ta-q-bin service from Tokyo to this hotel and the hotel staff conveniently placed the transported luggages into our room. Since I was staying at the annex, I had limited interactions with staff, but they were pleasant. Had to subtract some points for cleaniness as our room had stains on the carpet and black hair dye splatters over the bathroom walls. I understand those cannot be simply wiped off, but I expected more or at least a heads up from staff. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were clean."
