Rooms had an excellent interior design. Additional sliding door inside the room helps to block unwanted noises from the hallway and bathroom. Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks and baked goods in the lounge were excellent for a basic breakfast. Baked goods were always fresh and never stale. Single washer and dryer were always available somehow. Vinyl records and Marshall speaker in the lounge were great!

Awesome spot in Kyoto
Excellent location in short walking distance to two metro lines. Comfortable beds, largest shower/bath of any hotel we stayed at in Japan, comfortable and spacious lobby, and free use of bicycles (if you get there early enough in the morning). Far and away our favorite hotel of our trip!

Loved our stay at this hotel. The room was a little small, standard for Japan, but clean and had all the needed amenities. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Hotel lobby is beautiful and has a 24/7 snack bar. Staff were friendly and helpful and stored our luggage for an extra day before we arrived. The neighborhood around the hotel was very quiet but has ample restaurants and bars within walking distance, close to the subway and easily accessible to major tourist destinations. We would stay here again.

Great hotel, would recommend!
Genuinely a fantastic stay, we'll be coming back when we're next in Kyoto! The hotel is in a good location right near Karasuma station. The staff were really friendly and helpful (they made restaurant recommendations and rang around to get our large group a booking more than once). The lobby is outstanding, clean, well maintained and the pastries/bread on offer is delicious. The room was the biggest we had while travelling in Japan. The ONLY irritation is that there's a single washing machine in the hotel so it was a headache trying to use it, but we ended up at a coin laundry 500m away!

The bread and coffee machine worked so well for our trip. We didn’t rent the bikes but that would have been a great plus and the laundry machine if you can get in there before a line forms is a quick one with large capacity.

This property is excellent value for money. There are complimentary drinks and breads available all day, free bikes on a first come first serve basis and the staff is wonderful. The rooms are a good size and key attractions can be reached by walking and/or public transport.

They provide a 24/7 coffee bar and pastry service when you stay with them. The train to get places is also super close. There is a 7-11 about a quarter of a mile around the corner for all your convenience needs

The room was great. It was pretty small (typical Japan size). There was space for beds, but not a whole lot beyond that. The beds were a bit hard, but not the worst I've experienced. The hotel staff was very helpful and was able to get us dinner reservations (very useful in this area) multiple times. The breads are a nice touch.

Walkable to nijo castle and nishiki market. Room was clean and bright. Toiletries are located at ground floor - you’d have to take them yourself. The only thing we didn’t like was the dryer/washing machine, as there was only one of each available, and the filters were dirty.
