Located halfway between 2 different subway lines, hotel is very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. There is a bath house on site available only to hotel guests, which was lovely. Room size was great for 2 people, though not much storage space for luggage (but that is common for most Japanese hotels). They also had a free meet and greet with a real Maiko while we were there! Would definitely stay here again.

The location is very convenient. Close to the subway, City Hall, Kamogawa river, and Gion district. Close to Kyoto Station as well. We were able to enjoy a Maiko performance in the hotel for free during our stay. After a day of tiring sightseeing and shopping, we did enjoy a soothing hot bath. Close to the shopping centers like Uniqlo, Nishiki Market and famous areas.

We stayed on the 4th floor which also had a smoking booth on that same floor. Even though our room was non-smoking the smell of smoke permeated the whole floor which made our stay unpleasant. Don’t even bother trying to do your laundry here as the dryer doesn’t work. Had to hang try and blow dry our clothes. Only positive thing was the staff was nice and the room was clean. Bed was comfortable.

Really nice hotel, easy walking to public transportation and shopping. Good bar and restaurant on site. Live music on Friday evenings was great! Only drawback is the size of the rooms as they are rather tight for space.
