Our party of four had a fantastic stay at Fortaleza Suites! The hotel was incredibly clean, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. It was conveniently located within walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and just a quick 5-minute walk to La Factoria and other popular local bars and clubs. The employees were warm, friendly, and very understanding, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I highly recommend Fortaleza Suites for anyone visiting the area—great value and a wonderful experience!

The Puerto Rican experience
First time renting in Old San Juan, if you want to experience what life in Puerto Rico is like for the locals, this is it. Don’t expect a luxury resort style stay, it’s an old building but decent. All the bars, shops, and restaurants are within walking distance. It’s not a five star but it’s a local experience if you’re ok with experiencing what life is on the island.

Great old town place to stay. Very conveniently located to all the shops! Staff was nice and it was clean. The walls are a tad thin, so you will hear people chatting in the communal area which can be right outside your door. But otherwise it was a great place to stay.

Great location. Taxi had a hard time finding it as there isn’t an obvious sign. Room was smaller but fine. AC couldn’t go below 70 and was still pretty warm in there. We had no exterior windows. We were next to front desk. Very loud when ppl came back to hotel and going to their rooms. No sound proofing at all. Construction during the day.

The front staff were extremely nice and helpful. Although, the suite we stayed in was extremely hot. The wall unit and the ceiling fan on the downstairs part of the suite were not blowing cold air. As well, the television did not work. The staff was extremely nice and they tired to assist but were unable. Besides it being extremely hot in the room, the location was extremely convenient and everything really was walking distance. Would definitely stay again!
