Love that the location was right in the middle of Old San Juan. Everything was close by. Room was small and the bathroom was tight Thr room was clean.

Overall, my stay was wonderful. My only critique is that if you’re staying in an interior-facing room close to the common area, people can get loud in the mornings. Other than that, the staff was great, everything was clean, and the parking discount is solid.

We enjoyed our stay at Fortaleza Suites. Their communication was excellent and the staff was welcoming. The architecture and decor of the building is beautiful. This was a great spot for us to spend the night before boarding our cruise ship. As a bonus, Fortaleza Suites is very close to the cruise docks.

My friend woke up one morning with a lot of bites on her body, which seemed like bed bug bites. It turned out that the bugs might have been hiding in her clothes and luggage, followed her back to the mainland US, as similar bites kept appearing later on. This might be a coincidence, but it's worth paying attention to.

So the property is quaint old world San Juan. Staff is nice. But the water flow in the shower at night was so low it took 10 minutes to get hot water and then it was hard to get clean. The tile floors made the lobby loud when trying to sleep and the room above us was moving furniture till 11:30 pm making so much noise it was hard to sleep. Water flow in the AM was better.

Staff was very nice and the place was beautiful and cozy. The rooms clean, no nasty smells and extremely peaceful. And they offer free coffee 24/7 in which you make yourself so its always fresh.

The location is great but this is the tiniest hotel room I have ever imagined. It can't be more than 8 ft by 8 ft with an attached bathroom. There was absolutely no place to open up a suitcase and leave it open. You have to haul your suitcase onto the bed and repack everything before you can find a place to put

Weird washroom requirements
I liked the retro look of the place. It was gross and uncomfortable to read on the room signs that stool paper after wiping needs to be placed in the trash and not flushed.
