The first room they put me in had lights that didn't work. An electrical outlet was hanging from a wall. Was told that they were aware of electrical issues in that room. The second room they put me in there was no TV remote and the security latch on the door was broken. Both rooms had a strange smell. I demanded a refund and was told to wait until tomorrow. No chance I would consider staying there again.

My associate and I stayed out until 3AM and were looking forward to crashing, but out of the blue my door card didn't work. A minor inconvenience, except that there was no one at the desk. I beat on the bell, shout "hello?" several times, and then I notice a sign saying we're cleaning rooms and to call this number to let us know you're waiting. I called it 8 times, listening to it ring approximately 4 feet from me - no answer. Fortunately my associate was noticed sitting in the hallway, waiting for me to come back with a working key by a cleaning lady. With total disregard for security protocol, see unlocked the door for him. I was called and told to come on up. Turns out that the cleaning lady was the manager. The manager was cleaning rooms at 3AM, leaving the desk completely unattended. Why do you have your managers cleaning rooms - and at 3AM no less? Why do you not keep the front desk staffed? It is infuriating for your key to not work and you have to spend 30 minutes wasting your time to get it unlocked. I was so spun up that I could not get my required 4 hours of sleep before checking out. In turn, I booked another night as I was too tired to drive.

I have stayed here before and seeing the remodel, it was nice. It still has some areas of improvement but overlall it was better. The beds/pillows were very comfortable. Could have used better towels. Also there wasn't much for breakfast. All pre packed items. Overall would stay again

Rooms have been renovated and they are the in good shape. Breakfast did not exist. And the number 1 reason for low score was the customer service we receive. I booked with expedia, pre paid, I called on to let them now i am paying Friday night so i can checking on Saturday morning we will be driving all night from Tennessee. Still got there and Tammy de FD agent tell me that i need to call expedia because i was a no show. I said no i am not calling charge the no show to the expedia card and check me in for my one night. (Mind you i am a FD supervisor) i took ker about 20 to check us in. Please train you staff, in customer service.

I understand they have been remodeling this motel. Very spacious rooms and very clean. However, being on the second floor, you had to go down 2 flights of back steps to get to breakfast. I would have thought it would have been built less confusing. Breakfast was ok; but not a big choice. Maybe they are still working on that??

Missing a bed and receipts didn’t make sense
We booked a 2 queen bed room and confirmed it at check-in, but upon entering the room we discovered it was a 1 king bed room which was a problem because we had our kids with us. But it was after midnight by the time we got up to the room and ourselves and our kids were exhausted and they had already began to make themselves at home so we got extra blankets and made them a bed on the floor. Also, my receipt from hotels.com said I paid $89 but the receipt from the hotel said I paid $66. My account was charged 89 so I’m confused where the rest of the money went.

At check in we were assigned a room. All rooms are outdoor access only so we drove to our assigned room. When we entered our room the beds were unmade with the linens and bedding on the counter and floor and food on the floors. We requested a different room but there were no more 2 queen bed rooms available. The clerk offered us to check other local hotels and see if they had rooms or we could rent 2 king rooms at a higher rate than our original booked room. There were a lot of noises that seemed to be construction type sounds but we arrived after midnight ao that seemed odd. There were also a lot of people milling about outside of the gotel and it just felt like something shady was amiss.
