Great service and very friendly people.
Unfortunately I was not able to stay due to a scheduling change but I was able to give it to my friends to stay. The host was extremely helpful and flexible in working with me to make it happen. They said it was a very clean and nice place and the hosts were very nice! Will definitely be staying here again in the future!

This place is wonderful
This was a great stay. Wifi was fast. AC was cold. Shared living room was nice and had a frdige, netflix, etc. The bedroom was perfect. The location was super great. Honestly A+. Hazem the host was waiting for me and even gave me a quick walkthrough of the neighborhood. The included breakfast was actually through a bakery next door and was really good.

Perfect stay
The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Gabriela responded to any requests in less than 5 minutes. The location is perfect, close to the metro station and many nice restaurants. The breakfast is in a good pastry shop across the street.

The guesthouse is very well situated close by to Ipanema beach (at the end of the street) train station is 2 minutes walk. Plenty of restaurants and shops also close by. Gabby and Jaoa are great hosts they are friendly, genuine and always there to help, Gabby even showed me around the neighbourhood on first night i got to the building, even though it was very late, they helped me organise some tours with locals. Great value for money option, would definitely stay here again. Overall cannot recommend highly enough!

Great location, close to Ipanema beach and general osario metro. Very clean spacious and good place to stay. Took the breakfast included option n was fantastic. However the best experience was how helpful the hosts were (Gabby n Jose), they took time to introduce us to the area and building and even took us out to Lapa n so on. I loved it

My fiance and I really enjoyed our stay at JM Guesthouse. Gabby and Bianca were amazing hosts and were very helpful with showing us around the neighborhood and giving us advice on where to go for food, shopping and entertainment. The lodging was very clean, quiet and well kept. I also highly recommend the tour of Rio that Gabby arranged for us!

Very nice accommodations at good price!
Viewed a few hotels to stay at but, truly glad that I stayed at the Tohu-Bohu. Very clean apartment with a private room, close to beach, shops, and great local restaurants. I jumped on the Metro at the end of the street and got off at a native mart that had many souvenirs to choose at great prices. I will be going back!!

Great Location, Host and Value
An excellent value in a great location. It's near everything in Ipanema and Copacabana. This is a flat converted to tourist stays (above-board). Our room had a private bathroom. Owner is super friendly, helpful and accessible for any questions and doormen in the building are friendly too. When we were there no one occupied the other rooms until one other couple moved in for the last night (who we didn't run into). If all rooms were full I would guess it would have the potential to be a bit noisy if anyone else was not terribly considerate. The only issue: the closet in our room was extremely musty smelling and not really usable so we had to live out of our suitcases for the 5 days...would be good to address this. But otherwise this is a great choice...I'd recommend it.

Mottagandet var perfekt, ägaren mötte upp oss utanför lägenheten, han gick och visade oss runt i området. Han gav oss tips och information om staden! Boendet ligger perfekt placerad mellan Ipanema beach och copacabana :)

Me and my friend had a great time at the guest house and in Rio. Miguel is helpful and friendly. The location is very good, close to the beach and restaurants nearby. It was a bit noisy though as we had the window torwards the street. The room had what you needed and the bed is comfortable but we couldn't close the window cover all the way so it got pretty light early. All in all we're happy with our stay, it was good value for money and we warmly recommend it.

Joan and Gabi were the perfect hosts.. From booking until leaving they were always super helpful and organized. Coming to Rio the first time, Joan gave me helpful tips and showed me the neighborhood and helped with most essential things. He is super great!! the best guesthouse in Ipanema
une fois intégré que c'était un appartement partagé et non une chambre d'hôtel, tout va bien. les gérants sont aux petits soins pour leurs clients. la chambre avec salle de bain privée est excellente. l'environnement est total "rio", génial ! le petit-déjeuner se prend dans une boulangerie en face et il est d'enfer. je recommande (mais ce n'est pas un hôtel)

Great location in beautiful Ipanema. The service is great. The managers are very accommodating. The place is clean, however the cleaning lady could spend a little less time on the phone while she’s cleaning. If you are looking for a quality place that’s close to everything than this is the spot.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, y el complejo es muy lindo. El unico problema es que no hay lugar donde cocinar, estaria muy bueno que tuviera una pequeña cocina para cocinar o calentar la comida. Asi como tambien estaria bueno que hubiera un lugar donde colgar la ropa mojada. Saludos
