The food overall was not good. The Italian restaurant and the buffet were the only decent options. The parrilla restaurant wasn’t good, and the mariscos place was horrible.
It was very difficult to find towels. Some of the staff were rude, you would ask for something and they would just say, “We don’t have more.” You basically had to keep asking until someone nicer finally helped you.
However, the staff by the pool were very nice and helpful, which made that area more enjoyable.
There is no real beach. You can see it, but you cannot access it.
The alcoholic drinks were terrible. The quality of the liquor was bad; the piña colada tasted like sunscreen, and the strawberry drinks tasted like car perfume.
The hot dogs were strange, and they did not have chicken nuggets for kids.
The kids club was also disappointing. They open at 11 and close at 3, and it’s so boring that kids prefer not to stay.
The night shows were very good, and the beds were okay.
The internet was terrible.
Expedia originally listed this hotel as the Hyatt Ziva. The pictures, rooms, and description were completely different. I was sure I booked the one in Cancun. Three days later, when I checked my reservation again, the name and pictures had changed, and we ended up at Dreams, which is part of Hyatt but clearly a cheaper hotel. I don’t think I will use Expedia again, this is the second time something similar has happened to me.
