Very Good
All reviews shown are from real guest experiences. Only travelers who have booked a stay with us can submit a review. We verify reviews according to our guidelines and publish all reviews, positive or negative.
Needs proper maintenance, light repairs, refurbishment of units and repainting, updating of some furnishings, and proper all round cleaning of cobwebs and dust. Double bed needs a new mattress. Shower fan looks like it failed some time ago. Some windows barely open or are jammed.
Nice setting in the countryside, lots of potential - we made the best of it but such a shame.

Good outlook, easy to visit various lovely places. Accommodation comfortable if a little shabby (curtains could do with being rehung!) cooker needs a good clean…..we enjoyed our short stay.
It’s perfect for group of frnds to enjoy the nature and finding a peace

Clean, tidy.
Cleaning bedding, towels for everyone, mini shampoo, body wash etc, Underfloor heating, parking and clean kitchen (most amenities but no toaster). Big enough space we were able to spread out.
Only bad side was there was a stale cigarette smoke smell coming from the bathroom. It wasn’t all the time, but by the afternoon/evening it reeked. And there was mild behind the sofa. Two not so great things for someone with asthma. Also, the upstairs bedroom prob isn’t designed for adults. My 6ft 2 son hit his head on the slopping roof when getting out of bed, and he couldn’t stretch out his feet.
Otherwise a lovely property.

Hidden, quirky place
Unusual room. Did not quite match the description on the booking forum. Small with a bed that was in a recess so felt quite claustrophobic. If you sleep near the wall, you have to climb over the other person to use the toilet. Quirky but great surroundings and extremely peaceful. Owner friendly
Good location, easy to get out and about. Liked the self catering facilities and comfort. Good for dogs.

Overall,a great place to stay whilst sightseeing.
Stayed for 2 nights to visit the local area.
Used the Carthouse as a base, so didnt spend much time there.
The accommodation is great, comfortable beds, overall clean. Could do with a little attention but wouldnt stop us from visiting again.

Great spot , great views, just what we wanted. We had a lovely little chalet/ annex . Only complaint was the shower water pressure was poor, but it was hot and did the job. We would definitely go back there!

Carthouse
Nice location, central for south Pembrokeshire. Walled gardens are lovely.
Carthouse is ok, its comfortable but needs maintenance and decorating.
Careful with shower, it drains very slowly and can overflow.

Good size bedroom, quiet living room, original bedroom to the first floor, toilet included. Quiet place, may be not the easiest to access, but we loved it.
Nice property away from big towns and cities, was very peaceful. We were originally going to stay in the small room but got upgraded to a bigger room free of charge which had all the basics we needed. The lady of the house was very lovely, I am an animal lover and she let us meet the ponies and house cat Dexter. Overall it was a good place as my boyfriend and I were exploring the castles, ruins and coast around the area, the property is a short drive from all of these so was very convenient.

Disliked: Amenities
This property is surrounded by green grass. Fresh air. Owners are friendly but they fail to ensure that the bath gel are sufficient for the number of guests. One of the towel was not very clean.
Beautiful rural location in close proximity to Lamphey, Pembroke, Tenby and surrounding villages. Stunning views from the Ridgeway towards the coast and a beautiful walled garden on site to explore and enjoy.
Our hosts were welcoming; present but at a distance to allow privacy. We stayed in the Old Bakehouse which is self - contained and full of character. The whole site is really dog friendly and we will definitely go back again.
