The toilet kept clogging and didn’t flush everything down. The last night we had to get a maintenance man to come in on his off time to unclog the toilet at 10pm. It was the third time the toilet was plunged that day. The exhaust fan didn’t work in the bathroom, and we asked them to fix it. They had the maintenance man in our room for that, and he left a mess on the floor in the bathroom. Housekeepers don’t speak English, so my husband had to find someone that spoke some English to tell them we needed a plunger. The first night there was a party at the pool with guests drinking alcohol. Not safe with little kids swimming. What if they needed help swimming or started to drown? Who was going to help them? Their intoxicated parents?

The room, the ocean view, the free breakfast, the staff - all of these areas were excellent. The one BIG minus is the outdoor pool. It is tiny, not very deep and dirty. After going the first day, my grandson and I never visited it again for the week we were there. The indoor pool is totally fine, but I like to get sun at the pool. Sadly, this one area is the reason I will not stay there again.

I loved this hotel. I love continental breakfast and the beach is 1 minutes from the room. I would ask to stay on the 3/4th floor if I go again to see the ocean from the balcony. The pools were great and I like the gym as well. Very affordable and the beach is private

It’s hard to say anything negative at all about this establishment. It was clean, conveniently located and the staff was over the top friendly and provided excellent service for our stay. The salt water pool was amazing and the one minute walk to the beach was better than expected. You will not be disappointed with this Gem.

I'm not sure about other good reviews, but I probably stayed in a room that was not updated. Shower had a pit that kept water in the tub, the fake tile was coming off the wall. I would compare this room to my room in Daytona Beach when I was there for Spring Break in the 80s. It is on the water which is near a drain. I wouldn't go in the ocean. The staff was great though.

It was a special place to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. It was close to the beach and attractions. It was also close to our son's house. We plan on using the Shutters in the future!

Meh. Mediocre for the amount you pay for a room.
The a/c rattled and made a loud vibration. Seems that the a/c units need an upgrade. Somehow the units cut off at night no matter what temperature you set it at. Woke up stuffy every morning. Cleaning folks came once only to make the beds. Beds were kinda stiff even though the side of the bed will literally have you thinking it’s super comfy and put you in the floor if you sit on it the wrong way. Bathroom wasn’t cleaned during our stay. Balcony wasn’t swept either which made things a tad bit sandy at the end of our stay from us putting our beach chairs out there daily. The shower station needs a new shower head since one of them puts out hardly any water. It would also be beneficial to have a shower head on the same pole for persons feet at the bottom. Continental breakfast wasn’t anything to write home about. Could overall be better for the price you pay for rooms.

The property was located on a great beach however the property itself did not offer beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The amenities at the hotel was lacking. The room was very small. Housekeeping was not consistent.

It was as promised/promoted. Clean and as quiet as can be expected. Staff very friendly and responsive. No poor marks on any area. We needed to add on an extra night and didn’t have to change rooms. Breakfast was available and covered the basics. **clean **friendly. **** watched a beautiful storm over the ocean from my balcony as the waves rolled in just across the dunes

The pools are nice. The bedroom area is nice. It looks just like the photos. I was not happy with the bathroom area. The sink is right when you walk in and the shower and toilet are also right by the door. It is extremely tight in the toilet/shower room. There is no counter space by the sink. I know understand why there was no picture of the bathroom posted. We enjoyed our stay and loved being by the beach. The breakfast was good.

We enjoyed the location of Shutters and being able to walk to the beach. The outside pool area was great. Cleanliness was just ok. Our bathroom had hairs on the floor and the carpet in the room looked dirty and worn. It was also very damp and musty. None of the towels we hung out dried because of how humid the room was. The indoor pool area was not clean and the bathroom was gross with wet toilet paper all over the floor.
