The internet did not work. This was very important for doing business, and was In town for work. I would have left and gone to a different hotel just because of this, but was only there for one night. The train that runs every 25 mins or so is also very loud.
There were crack**** sleeping outside on the sidewalk and such. The guy taking us to our room walked into a room where there was people sleeping because he knew all the codes. We slept with a chair under our door handle so no one could come in. Extremely unsafe
I had made the reservation 6 weeks in advance for a room with 2 queen beds. When we arrived they had given that room to someone else and there was only one bed in our room for 3 people. They did give us an additional room upstairs. Our downstairs room seemed like an after thought. There was an old broken microwave , trash piled up right outside our room! We could not get hot water in our shower either. The room was dark and dingy, not like the room upstairs. There was a man blaring music in the playground next to the hotel until late at night and undesirable ( scary ) people walking around the parking lot day and night.
Just don't do it. Don't bring kids here. The hotel was going under renovations for sure, hopefully they can fix up some things but the neighborhood is in a homeless community so there are homeless people all over the street. Everything was sketchy, we did not even feel comfortable staying even though we payed. We left the same night. They do allow dogs but we did not even want our dog to be in that situation.
to be fair they are try to revitalize the neighborhood. what stands out is the friendless of the staff members. the treated us quite warmly. I hope I get her name right Janice a very caring person who made us feel welcomed

Not a safe area at all to stay!! The staff at the hotel were very very helpful it’s just unfortunate it is in the wrong area!! We paid way too much for this place considering we were ordered to evacuate from our home in Fort Myers due to hurricane Milton!!
We got there early (about 3 hours before the 3:00 check in). We asked if it would be possible to check in early and was told it would be about an hour. It ended up being about 2 hours past the 3:00 check-in time. I hesitate to give a negative feedback because they had been closed for renovations and just opened for storm refuge. The biggest issue was the parking lot. Homeless people and used needles. The room was nice and clean but did not have phones to call front desk and nowhere to sit except on the bed. We did go down and got a folding chair.
The attention of Chris and the rest of the staff was incredible, the room was very comfortable and clean, we were able to rest and the air conditioning works very well. Centrally located and with many places nearby.
