"If you are not from LA it can be confusing where to stay. So as a former LA resident I can tell you this is a great option for travelers who want to experience Beverly Hills at a moderate price and you don’t care about a pool or amenities. It’s right in the heart of all things including Rodeo Drive. You can walk to coffee and breakfast but also the highest of high end restaurants like Spago and Mr Chow. Rooms are basic but clean. Very reminiscent of hotels you would find in Europe. Right now there is massive construction on Wilshire Blvd so you do have to detour around when walking but it’s easy enough. The only downfall is the floors are wood so you can hear people clomping around in their shoes above you at times. This is a great stay for people who are here for meetings and such in the area as well. "

"Alsace is one of the cleanest places I’ve ever been. It looks brand new. It absolutely suited my needs as it is close to the 10 and is just ten minutes from a friends house. I found street parking easily - their garage is an extra $30/night. It has a boutique vibe with friendly Joshua there to greet you. In the morning there’s coffee and breakfast breads. Also Nespresso in the room. The neighborhood is not ‘desirable’? Nor is it bad. There’s a fantastic cocktail lounge next door as well as Chulita Mexican food. Another plus is the restaurant will deliver to your room! This includes their fantastic margaritas! Another plus is a great market on the other side for picking up last minute items. Otherwise one might have to walk further or drive. There’s also a Tartine a few more blocks away. Otherwise there’s a printing place and auto parts…it’s just a quirky area. I loved getting a balcony room with a sofa, chairs and table outside! It was like a huge living area! Views of palms over a neighbprhood. Five Wits bath products were very nice - kind of Aveda-herbal scents. Loooved the bedding. It was a wonderful sanctuary in between visiting friends and partying. Very peaceful. Pool area small but also pristine and lovely. Great vibe all around if you like clean modern and calm. "

"This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. I was very impressed with the level of hospitality they provided to us. We asked for recommendations for dinner, and they provided several. From the moment we stepped on property, we felt like royalty. The valets were engaging, the doorman was great. We arrived early, and the front desk was able to find rooms for us to check in very early, and they allowed us to late check out. All of this worked with our transportation schedule. They have a courtesy van that will take you up to 3 miles away and drop you off. They were outstanding and we used it several times. Arriving early, we were ready for breakfast. The food was excellent. We were not disappointed. A massive thank you to Natalia, our waitress. She was extremely polite, so easy to talk to, and she provided us several spots to check out during the day as we were wandering around. The food was so good, we went down the next morning, and she came over to see how our day was. She is a gem for that hotel. Ask to sit in her section if you can!!! First class treatment all around. The pool deck is amazing on the roof. Get there early if you want a spot as it was full most of the day. What a place. We know we will stay here again when we make it back to town.
