It was a nice little hotel. Relatively close to everything if you are planning to visit downtown LA and universal studios. A middle point between LAX , the beach, USH. The parking yes you have to park on the street, so we save it for longer and farther trips. If we wanted to go to the grove or downtown we just took uber from the hotel so we don't lose our spot. A minor inconvenience you can say but there are ways to do it. The hotel gives you a permit to park on the streets for free. There is a deposit you need to make but they refund it at check out. I will stay here next time for sure.

This hotel was very affordable and we felt safe and slept ok,and the AC worked well. The beds seemed to be pretty cheap mattresses, and although firm, it was like you could feel the springs and hear the plastic/vinyl every time you turned over. The shower was fine but the walls had hair all over them! The carpets were pretty dirty but the linens were clean. The breakfast was all pre-packaged foods

The hotel is in a safe area, with multiple public transportation and dining options. The staff is nice and polite. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the different pillow options. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was very clean. They should consider replacing the carpets. The one in my room had multiple big stains, and the carpet, in general, was definitely not clean. The air conditioning units are very old. I tried to use mine and it immediately smelled like mold, so I had to turn it off, but it was a very hot evening. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast is just packed bakery, bananas, yogurt and oatmeal. It is a good option if you have something to do in the area. I wouldn't give it more than 2.5 stars, but the most important thing for me is that I felt safe and could sleep well.

Rooms feel like rooms in a home, not a hotel, which was nice; no on-site parking, but parking on the long street stretching past the hotel is possible, and you get a pass to do so. Overall nice place, great location, and very conveniently located for visiting places like the LACMA, Academy Museum, and La Brea Tar Pits on foot! If you're looking to explore Wilshire, book your stay at the Crest!

The parking was easy. Hotel was very clean. We hate stale breakfast like saran wrapped boiled eggs or tasteless scrambled eggs. Their breakfast was perfect for us. They had kurig and instant coffee. No stale cold coffee.

Quality at lower cost
This was our second stay here. It’s a lot less expensive than name brand hotels in this area. It’s your basic motel, but very clean and maintained, quality bedding and towels, large room, free parking on the street with permits.
