Beach across 1 Street! Location at it's finest!

Enjoy it all...a super clean, relaxing and enjoyable home that is only 1 street away from the beach! Treasure your time with making memories in a quiet neighborhood that is surrounded by vacation amenities. Cross one street and you will be at the City Beach known as Stearns Park. Mini Golf, concessions, volleyball nets, pier, and light house, along with a skate park and playground encompass the beach area.

5 walking blocks away is the downtown area which is known for shopping, restaurants (Indulge at House of Flavors Ice cream shop and restaurant- famous for countless flavors and smiles), Sand Castle Children's Museum, Library, Bike Shop & Rentals, Marina & Playground.

All aboard...Cruise Lake Michigan S.S. Badger Carferry from Ludington to Wisconsin daily. Go for the afternoon or overnight. Some travelers bring their vehicle on the carferry while others step on board. Conveniently located only a couple blocks from downtown, all within walking distance of this rental.

Relax indoors or out in this well kept 4 bedroom home. Peek a boo views of Lake Michigan from the kitchen, downstairs and upstairs west bedrooms. 2 bedrooms on the main level and 2 upstairs. Fresh linens provided for use in the home. Listen to the waves sitting in the yard or view the majestic sunsets. Cross the street to go fishing and savor a late night dinner on the grill!

Guests you will love the size of this yard! A lot of properties do not offer the size and layout of this entertaining sized yard especially with trees and open sunny space. It is hard to believe your in the city. Cool and comfortable in the shade part of the yard and sunny and bright in the other part of the yard. Regardless of where you are enjoying it there is plenty of room to sit and play! Relax on the patio that has spring chairs (like rockers) or sit in the adirondack chairs while roasting marshmallows otherwise, sit near the back door for a shaded conversation or perhaps in front of the house to watch the deer across the street (they do visit our yard too).

We'll be back to this charmer!!
This property and host, Stacey, are outstanding! The kitchen is the best furnished I have ever seen in a VRBO! You could easily make a Thanksgiving meal will all the kitchen appliances, cookware, plates, etc!!! Host Stacey is the Hostess-with-the-mostest! extremely responsive and helpful with all details. The house itself is beautifully decorated 1940's charmer. It is clean, clean, clean! The amenities are every better in person than as shown in the photos. Would I stay her again? Yes! In a heartbeat!!!

Perfect Lake Michigan vacation
The whole family loved our stay in Ludington! The location of this house is ideal: an easy one-block walk (even for a 5-year-old and carrying beach toys and a cooler) from a wonderful, large, not-too-crowded beach — but just far enough away to provide a bit of privacy and one-block barrier from the beach noise. The water was great for our stay: hovering around 70 degrees all week, with middle-sized waves a few days and calm waters the others. We heard there was algae at further-up-the-coast beaches, but the water was crystal clear at our beach (Stearns Park). We also enjoyed being walking distance from the lighthouse (walked there for beautiful sunsets), shuffleboard, ice cream (tried something House of Flavors every night) and mini golf. The house had everything we needed. We made most meals at home aside from one dinner at Ludington Bay Brewery (the Tangelo beer was a nice find) and one at Chuckwagon Pizza, which were both good and walkable. With two adults and three kids, we actually had an extra bedroom. We would definitely love to stay here again next time we get a chance for a beach vacation.

24th going to Ludington
This place is an excellent location for walking to the beach. We typically take our beach wagon down to the beach most of our days for our annual visit to Ludington. I didn’t realize until we were about to come there that the upstairs twin bed could be converted to a king, which was nice! We travelled with my husband and two daughters (6 and 10) as well as my sister and brother-in-law and 22 year old nephew. The only things I recommend is bringing an extra extension cord or two, there are not many outlets in the house for plugging in fans/phones and do not leave your beach stuff in the back yard because it will get stained with the mulberries (there is space to put it in the basement or bring a tarp to cover it up). I also forgot to bring a laundry basket but there were plenty there which was nice. We would definitely stay here again!

Everything about this stay was just outstanding: property immaculately clean and exactly as described; perfect location to walk to the beach and restaurants and a quick drive to other sites; and most of all, lovely caring touches by Stacey for the kids in our group and family celebrating a special occasion. Her communication is just excellent! We've discovered a gem in Ludington and hope to be back again!

Solo
I spent most of my time this weekend as a solo in the cottage as my teens had a 3 on 3 basketball competition in the area. Town was busy because of it, and this cottage was our relaxing retreat away. It was so peaceful watching the deer and little fawn nibble across the street. I am a bit embarrassed to admit that I fell asleep in the Adirondack chair listening to the birds in song. The house was clean, well appointed and had more room than we needed. The host was kind and left me good coffee which was a God-send after the journey. The street was a little crazy with Gus Macker 3on 3 ball going on (lots of turn arounds in the drive and people looking for parking) but I would assume there would be very little traffic on a normal week. The night time beach walks were my favorite time. The fish were jumping, sunsets amazing and the images of the bagger passing the lighthouse brought me back to my youth. This is Not a wheelchair friendly cottage, but the second floor made my kids feel like they had their own hang out. Possibly a place for a grand parent to bring teen grand children for a week. Plenty for teens to do in walking distance. I travel for my job and stay a lot of places, this cottage was nostalgic, and what you would expect from a historic neighborhood….better than a hotel choice. Hope we are lucky enough to book again next year.

Very nice and cozy! Excellent Customer Service too!
Stacy was INCREDIBLE to work with. There's zero doubt that her first priority was us being happy with our stay. Only one thing of note... When we arrived, there was a slight odor of what smelled like cat urine, which, as we all know is VERY difficult to get rid of. It wasn't completely overwhelming, but it was there, several of us commented on it. BUT, it wouldn't stop me or my friends from staying here again. Overall - it was a GREAT experience in a wonderful house with a great location and an incredible 'Host'.

Convenient and Quaint
Convenient to beach (1 block walk, might need a wagon for beach stuff) and town (4 block walk to the beginning of shops etc.). House was clean and comfortable. Would be nice to have table lamps by the beds. Some furniture and the kitchen are showing their age, string pull light in pantry was a throwback. Last step in basement has a higher rise than the rest- be careful. Chipmunks and deer were a cute surprise in the neighborhood.
