One of Folly's Best! This cozy 2 bedroom 1 bath is perfect for small families or 2 couples and can accommodate 4 guests comfortably. There is off-street parking and a large yard with a patio in the back of the home. Towering palms provide shade from the South Carolina sun and make this yard a perfect spot for lazy lounging afternoons. The beach shops and restaurants are just steps away from your doorstep and the ocean is a 5 minute walk down a delightful dedicated path. Once inside you will find a full kitchen equipped for cooking a dining area and comfortable living room seating. Both bedrooms are appointed with queen beds and there is one bathroom with a shower tub combination. If clean and simple is what you are looking for then Vacation Station is the property for you! Vacation Station allows a maximum of 2 dogs, with a combined weight of up to 65lbs. Cute Beach Cottage!
Cute little cottage in a great location! The house is not fancy but it is clean and well stocked with the basics for an easy stay. Kitchen island has space for a group to gather and the screen porch is great for bug free evening hangs.

Fun time in Folly!
We loved the location of this cottage and the privacy. The cottage was very clean and larger than we expected. We did not have any issues during our stay. Everything was perfect for a nice and short get-a-way! Will definitely book again in the future.

Location and functionality
I travel a fair amount, and often to pretty nice hotels. The photos of this residence are perhaps a little too good; the curb appeal and quality of build and furnishings isn’t very good. There’s a beach access trail beside the house, which was great - but one night there was someone loitering in the trail which made us concerned. HOWEVER… the place was clean and well located. Beds were very comfortable. Rental office was great. In the end, we really enjoyed our stay!

The place was as expected. Felt like a beach cottage. It was very clean for the most part though a little rustic. WE enjoyed out stay. Finding the door in the dark was difficult as the picture online was of the back of the house. That is my only negative. Maybe a better description of where the door to get in is located. It is not near the driveway.

All You Need!
This is a perfect location to head either to the beach for early sunrise walks, shopping days and dining evenings. We loved the back patio under the trees for a glass of wine late afternoon. The property is also just a short walk to Bert's for great food to go. Keep in mind, this is an older property so it has it's wear and tear and not for those looking for fancy. The floor has some uneven thresholds, but we got used to them fairly quickly. Management dropped off a nice insulated mug and we received a lovely personalized Thank You note upon our return. Folly's Best Rentals seems to be a very well run organization. We would definitely stay there again!

House on Folly Beach
This rental was perfect for my boyfriend, our puppy dog, and myself. The only thing i will mention, is the back screened door needs a hook latch. My dog pushed door open a few times and got out to the neighbors driveway. We ended up rigging it so she couldnt get out. We cant wait to hopefully get back to folly amd stay in your home. Perfect location
House is perfect for a few friends to stay. Toilet had an issue and wouldn’t flush but had to play with it to get it to work. One of the bedroom fans didn’t work. Other than that it was a great spot to walk to places and to the beach! Would recommend this place to any small party!

Location, Location, Location!
We were so lucky to find this cottage available with only a months notice! We didn’t spend a lot of time at the cottage because we were surrounded by the best of Folly. Short walk to the beach, short walk to the grocery store, short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. And the cottage was outfitted with everything we needed. Great outdoor space too!

Great location, but needs some updating
We have never been to Folly and chose this stay due to its close location to the main drag, and also since it was pet friendly. The little patio and yard were nice, and had the weather been nicer we would have used it more. Location of the home was excellent, easy to walk to the beach and restaurants and shops. Having a little off street parking spot was also a plus since parking is limited around Folly. I do have to say the beds are pretty small, so if you’re much taller than 5’7” you may be a bit uncomfortable. We are used to a queen or even king bed so that was a bit of an adjustment. We also felt the mattress could use a replacement, it was not the most comfortable but worked fine for the short weekend stay we had. The facilities overall are fine but the toilet runs constantly so water pressure was not the best. We made it work for our stay though.

Great stay
Everything was great. Only gave a 4 star because the blind facing the walkway for access to the beach was next to the house. It had a slat missing which made it easy for anyone walking by could see into the house, no privacy. I put some paper between them so no one could look in. Everything was within walking distance, which was great!The back yard where we had to park had a lot of water when we first arrived but dried up by the next day, probably had a heavy rain the day before. All in all a good stay.

The pictures of the outside of the property on the website do not reflect what the property really looks like in person. The home could use some upgrades to the exterior. Lot was unkept and dirty. The screened in porch needs cleaned and upgraded. Interior of the home was pretty good. Well kept and clean. Again location was great. We would use VRBO again but definitely not the home.

Very nice place, a couple of blocks to beach and downtown. Mosquitos were on the prowl, so carry spray. I think if the grass had been cut, we could have enjoyed sitting outside. Even though the washer was not delivered, Folly Rentals, offered to help.

Nice location, poorly maintained
I can't complain about the location, it's just a few minutes walk from the beach. However, it goes downhill from there. The washer was broken the whole time we were there. The screened in back door was broken and wide open when we got there. The shower tub was broken, didn't drain, and someone had to come out twice to address that. The toilet flush has to be held down until it completely flushes or else you are leaving an unwelcome surprise for the next person. There is no water pressure in the kitchen when someone flushes the toilet or takes a shower. Lastly, we found out the hard way all the ice trays had cracks in them and had to mop up the floor. Probably any one of these things wouldn't have been that big of a deal but all added up made for a frustrating stay. The management company Folly's Best Rentals, did respond to each of our calls, did send someone out to fix some of these issues , and ended up washing a load of our clothes, since we had run out of things to wear. However, they don't take any responsibility for the condition of the property, told us these things "happen", even though they were all like this when we got here, and even questioned us if we could have broken the washing machine. It's just not the experience I would recommend for someone looking for a beach getaway. Maybe would should have looked into Folly's Second Best rentals?
