"The Comfort Inn in Mount Airy was such a pleasant surprise. We were looking for something moderately priced, close to the historic downtown (Mayberry) and were willing to compromise on accommodations. The Comfort Inn is a gem! The moment you walk in you’re greeted with a friendly smile from the front desk and the place looked great. Check in was simple and quick. The room was perfect - clean, modern with a decent amount of space. Couldn’t ask for more. Mt Airy downtown was kind of a letdown - not much to see and the Mayberry references were a bit stretched. The museum we visited - thinking it was the Andy Griffith museum, but not - was pretty boring and seems to be a little disorganized. We ended up going to a local brewery for dinner. Took way too long to get food and it was just average. Mount Airy was a let down but the Comfort Inn was a star! "

"We were there for a friends wedding. The first night our heating unit didn’t work at all and the room was cold. We told them the next morning and they immediately put in a new unit and we had no problems after that. Very accommodating and friendly. "

"We couldn’t have been more pleased with this property. They have thought of everything… They have every extra amenity you could need, the little things in the kitchen, waiting on you, extra towels, extra blanket, extra pillows, hot tub, new beds, the list goes on and on! My husband and I think this is the nicest VRBO we have stayed in thus far. My one criticism would be that it is still an up-and-coming neighborhood. But, the grocery store is less than a 10th of a mile away and Mayberry is a sweet and safe town! "

"Hotel was awesome. Staff was friendly. Pool was clean, our room was super comfortable. Breakfast was yummy. Waffles, fresh fruit. Yogurt, oatmeal, juice, cereal boxes, milk, hardboiled eggs, omlet, chicken sausage, toast, bagels, muffins. All sirts if toppings for waffles and add uns for oatmeal. I wonderful tea selection as well as different types of coffee. Will definitely come back here next time we are in the area."
