Cancellation
We decided on a last minute short trip to Southern Illinois. Made reservations at this listing. One hour from arriving I got an alert from VRBO that my payment had been refunded and my reservation canceled. I tried contacting the Host and voicemail was full and not taking messages. Sent text to Host expressing my surprise at the cancellation and asking the rhetorical question of “What now?” Seems she hadn’t gotten the rental cleaned up and that our rental request was short notice. Well, note on your listing you don’t do rentals on short notice if it is a problem for you. We found another rental that was very cooperative with a short notice rental and they were located in a good location for what we were wanting to do in the area. A bit more of a drive for the trails we wanted to hike but it all worked out. I find it badly done to cancel at the last minute.
