This review is based on multiple considerations. Our niece was getting married in Traverse City MI region. Our group consists of 10 people, a combination of couples and single adults. We spent significant time looking at options that would accommodate our number plus the mix of individuals. We found a nice, wooded Chalet VRBO that met our needs. We reserved it and paid our fees a month before the wedding We were over halfway in our drive to the VRBO when I received a phone call from the Chalet VRBO management company. I was advised that they had sent me an email the previous day on the VRBO site. On the phone call I was advised that the owners of the Chalet had been living there for the past year and had changed the bedding arrangements. The bedding arrangements no longer met the needs of our group. The management Company offered two of their other properties as options. We chose the only other option that we thought would come close to what we needed. The carpet on the stairs is dirty and matted, The hard floors were so dirty we left our shoes on, two if the beds were in the dark basement where there was a strong musty smell and no windows, living room furniture is what you would find in a waiting room at a Dr’s office, the other furnishings were mismatched, no drapes or shades in the living room although the rods are there, no directions for using the TV (remote was found in the bedroom) garage door opener didn’t work. We were so disappointed and I was very embarrassed!
