The location is prime. At check-in very little information almost misleading and aggressive up-selling. Our bathroom had plumbing issues and smelled like a porter potty. Cleaning staff and maintenance workers were very pleasant and helpful. Food and restaurant staff were excellent as well. Over all we like enjoyed our stay, management needs to work out any and all issues.

I was impressed with the hotel. Very modern, clean, and well kept. Right on the beach and walking distance to anything you will ever need. We went non-inclusive so there are some nice places to eat locally and stores to buy whatever supplies you may need.

We elected to not do the all inclusive, so I can't speak to the quality of the food. I had no problem with the hotel itself. Its in a great location and the beach was great! Its an older hotel, but our room was clean with no signs of bugs. The bed wasn't awesome, but it was sufficient. It was also very quiet, and we were there over spring break. It was worth it to us to spend a bit more and get an ocean view balcony. You can't ask for a better view. My biggest complaint was the staff. This property also does a time share and everyone we interacted with was VERY aggressive. You can't get any help without being accosted. Every question we asked the front desk/concierge/doorman turned into a sales pitch. "Us- Where can we get a cab? Them-Where are you going, did you know you could go there for free if you listen to our presentation? Us- Can I get a price list for your spa? Them- Wouldn't you rather get services for free?" ALL THE TIME!!! And whatever you do, don't sit at the desk with their planner people! They act helpful in getting you tickets to excursions, trips, etc, buts its another ploy to get you to the time share. I wish we would have known to expect that level of aggressive sales tactics ALL OF THE TIME. By the end of our trip, I just walked through the lobby without making eye contact and ignored anyone trying to engage me. Without the staff, I would have rated the hotel much higher.

The food and beverage service on the beach was slow and had to wait a long time for the food to arrive. My biggest concern was the loud music that could be heard in our room.We called the reception and they feigned ignorance, saying there is some music going on at an on-site wedding but they cant do anything about it. This happened for 2 nights during 5 night stay

Noisy all night hotel and unfriendly front desk
Very noisy booming nightclub type music all night. Unfriendly disorganized front desk whose computers are not able to get reservations from hotels.com site. Very long wait at checkin desk who input our reservations manually. Disappointing room view of rusted vent systems that we were told it is what I paid for at hotels.com. No king size or ocean view as requested. One hour plus wait for onsite restaurants. I would never stay at the Krystal Grand hotels in Cancun's Hotelzone area. Noisy clientele as well. Other customers also complained at front desk with many other issues.

We really enjoyed the beach area. Hotel was right on the beach and staff maitained the beach area very clean. We didn’t like the pushy hotel staff wanting us to attend their hotel presentation.

Our room had a mildew smell, we got locked out of our room multiple times and the front desk manager was extremely rude. The only person at the hotel that was pleasant and tried to help us was Daniel from VIP services. Cohoes to Daniel excellent customer service.!!!! This will be our last stay at this hotel.
