Cheap flights from Tokyo to Honolulu
Tokyo Narita (NRT) Airport can be accessed by car, taxi, bus or shuttle. However, if you are coming in from downtown Tokyo, consider taking the JR Narita Express Train. It takes about an hour to get to Tokyo Station. Flight times are usually a little over eight hours to Honolulu International (HNL) Airport, located on the island of Oahu. Because the airport is only about six miles away from downtown Honolulu, consider taking a shuttle, bus or taxi to get to your hotel.
Attractions
Waikiki Beach is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy; surfing, swimming, snorkeling and more all take place, on or around these sands. Nearby lays the Diamond Head, an interesting crater that is an iconic part of the Honolulu landscape. You can hike up to the top of the cone; just know that it can be challenging. For a completely different look at the island, head out to Pearl Harbor and the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. Start at the visitor center to learn more about the memorial.
Hints and tips
In the winter, temperatures stay in the 70s and 80s, making it enjoyable to be outside. This is also the time when many high waves come in, attracting surfers from around the world. In the summer, the temperatures rise slightly but there is a considerable amount of humidity in the air. Expect to see rain if your visit falls between September and November.
