Flights from New York to London depart from either John F. Kennedy International (JFK), or LaGuardia Airport (LGA). The former is a hub for JetBlue Airways, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines. AirTrain JFK links the airport to New York's subway and rail services in about 40 minutes. The NYC Airporter is a fast service that offers direct connection to JFK for a flat rate of $15.75, and LGA for a flat rate of $12.75. Try the bus as well, with multiple lines serving all major boroughs. These are extremely busy airports so parking your own vehicle might not be the best option, but it's certainly not impossible. Once you're through security, find many food and shopping options at LGA while you wait for boarding.
New York to London flights will land at either London Heathrow Airport (LHR) or London Gatwick Airport (LGW) in about five hours. Heathrow Airport, the world's busiest airport in terms of international traffic, is in West London (outside of Hounslow). Heathrow Express trains and the London Underground Piccadilly Line as well as several bus services connect the airport to the city. Gatwick Airport is a ways south from Central London and connects to the city by the airport railway station and National Express Coaches. Either airport has good public transport, but you might find the London Underground from Heathrow to be much faster and easier to get to your hotel.
