Cheap flights from Miami to Grand Cayman
Don't depend on public transportation to get to Miami International Airport (MIA). Instead, taxis, shuttles and your own vehicle are your best bet. Flight duration is about 90 minutes to Georgetown Owen Roberts International (GCM) Airport. Once there it takes about five minutes to get downtown. Airport shuttles and limos, along with hotel shuttles, are the best way to get to your destination.
Attractions and Tips
Plan on diving, snorkeling or engaging in other water sports while visiting The Cayman Islands. Start at the Seven Mile Beach for any of these activities, as it is close to the coral and offers plenty of room for exploration. The Mastic Trail is over 200 years old and takes you through some swamps as well as a woodland area. This is the place to enjoy the flora and fauna of the Grand Cayman. There are guided tours available. Stingray City is a sandbar for visitors to feed and touch some of the local stingrays.
Warm weather tends to be consistent throughout the year. In the winter, temperatures drop to the low 70s, while the rest of the year tends to stay in the 80s. Summertime offers a great opportunity for visitors to come to the Grand Cayman. The rainy season starts at the beginning of summer and extends into the fall; however, the rain usually comes and clears away in just a few hours.
