Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International (ATL) is located just seven miles south of the city of Atlanta, and is one of the busiest airports in the world. It can easily be reached via interstate routes 85 and 285, as well as highways 3 and 401. Flight duration is two to four hours to Richmond International (Byrd Field) (RIC), and upon arrival in Richmond, you will be near interstate routes 64 and 295, as well as Highway 33.
Attractions
Richmond National Battlefield Park commemorates five years of battles around the capitol city of Virginia. The Edgar Allan Poe Museum contains artifacts, manuscripts, documents and personal effects that were important to the great author during his time in Richmond. The Virginia State Capitol Building was erected in 1785, according to designs formulated by Thomas Jefferson, and was the scene of Virginia's secession from the Union, and Robert E. Lee's appointment as commander of the Confederate Army.
