About Shakira
As the queen of Latin pop, Shakira's unique blend of world music has taken over the radio, clubs, and homes as some of the best dance music of today. Snag your cheap Shakira tickets today to experience the thrill of her music live!
Blending Diverse Genres Into One Signature Sound
Growing up in Colombia, Shakira was drawn to art and performance at a young age. Inspired by her writer father and the doumbek, an Arabic instrument often played during belly dancing performances, Shakira began writing poems and songs. After attracting the attention of Sony, Shakira released her debut album, Magia, in 1991. She was just thirteen at the time, and her early records with Sony were limited by trouble between Shakira and the label. Despite a lack of faith from Sony, Shakira's third album debuted at the top of the charts in eight countries. She performed at the inaugural Latin Grammy Awards, already a juggernaut in the genre. "Whenever, Wherever" from Laundry Service became her first English crossover hit, and the album went on to become the bestselling record of 2002. Shakira broke another record in 2006 with "Hips Don't Lie" featuring Wyclef Jean, which beat out Beyoncé and Britney Spears to be the best-selling single between 2000 and 2010. In 2009 Shakira released yet again another album entitled She Wolf, which broke records internationally but failed to see the same mainstream success she had seen with previous albums in the United States. Throughout the years Shakira has become one of the leading giants in the Latin genre, releasing several albums and touring worldwide.
Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show
Coming off her widely successful El Dorado World Tour Shakira took the stage once again in front of the world, but this time alongside fellow Latin giant Jennifer Lopez. The dynamic duo was announced as the halftime performers for Super Bowl LIV in September of 2019. Held in Miami, the two were chosen for the performance to pay homage to their Latin routes that also run deep through the city. With Shakira and Jennifer Lopez both being dynamic, electric performers, fans are ecstatic to see the two legends take the stage together. From their powerhouse vocals to their vivacious dancing, this halftime show is expected to be one of the greatest ever!
With all the hype surrounding her Super Bowl halftime performance, cheap Shakira tickets are in high demand. Fans are anxious to see what new sizzling songs Shakira will perform live. Get your cheap tickets today to dance along with one of the most sensational performers of today!
