In 2011, at the Academy of Country Music's Girls' Night Out: Superstar Women of Country, the Pistol Annies took to the stage for the first time. Miranda Lambert, Ashley Monroe, and Angaleena Presley rocked out with their signature cowgirl attitudes, taking on the nicknames "Lonestar Annie," "Hippie Annie," and "Holler Annie," respectively. The supergroup's debut album, Hell on Heels, came out a few months later, hitting No. 1 on the US Country charts. The Pistol Annies released their sophomore album, Annie Up, in 2013, featuring the popular single "Hush Hush." However in 2018 the Pistol Annies delighted fans with several new tracks off their upcoming album, with the single "Stop Drop and Roll One" setting off currents of buzz in the music industry.
