M83 Tickets

One of the biggest acts in the history of the French electronic scene, M83 is comprised of Anthony Gonzalez, Jordan Lawlor, Loic Maurin, Kaela Sinclair and Joe Berry. In the past, the band had the talents of artists such as Morgan Kibby, Yann Gonzalez, Phillip Kern, Nicolas Fromageau, Ian Young and Pierre-Marie Maulini. Since first taking the world by storm in 2001, M83 has helped to transform a range of musical styles, including synthpop, shoegaze, post-rock, ambient, electronic and dreampop. Not many bands out there compare to the unique flavor of this band, as they take on elements of a greater range of musicians from the past than many of their electronic contemporaries.

Hit makers
M83 has put out about 20 singles throughout the past 15 years, including early hits like "Run Into Flowers" from 2003 and, more recently, "Do It, Try It". Their biggest hit was "Midnight City" in 2011, though they had other songs to hit the charts such as "Don't Save Us from the Flames", "Teen Angst", "Reunion", "Wait", "Oblivion" and "Go!" as well. Fan favorites that never made it to the charts are also beloved among the group's following, including "Graveyard Girl" and "Kim and Jesse". The group was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2013 Grammy Awards for their "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming" composition, but lost to Gotye's "Making Mirrors" that contained one of the biggest songs of the decade. M83 was also nominated for the World Soundtrack Award at the World Soundtrack Awards for their work on the film "Oblivion".

World travelers
Unlike many of today's electronic and synthpop giants, M83 has clear ties to some of the new wave musicians of the 1980s that spill over into the vocals of their songs. For example, lovers of New Order and Joy Division will certainly find some enjoyment in M83, while the band also incorporates elements of Pink Floyd, My Bloody Valentine and even their contemporaries Phoenix. M83 has been known to bring the house down wherever they choose to play in the world, including Asia, North America, Europe and South America.
