Folk Music Band
Heilung is unique and started in 2014 with members from Denmark, Norway and Germany. Their experimental folk music that is based on runic inscriptions from the Bronze, Iron and Viking Ages. The three original members self-release their debut album, Ofnir, in 2015. Some of the band’s performances have gained major views on YouTube which helped gain them popularity in the music industry. They performed live at Castlefest and Midgardsblot Metalfestival in 2017 and the next year their two albums were reissued on vinyl and CD.
Heilung New Music
The band was nominated for Best Underground Band at eh Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards in 2018. After that, they released a new album, Futha. American fans were excited when they announced a North American concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre in October 2020. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the show was rescheduled for the following year but still in Denver, Colorado. Fans from the other side of the ocean can still get tickets for shows when Heilung visits for rare live performance.
