Born as Frederick Dierks Bentley on November 20, 1975, he was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Although he grew up in Arizona, Dierks attended high school in both Indiana and New Jersey. He later went on to attend college in Vermont at the University of Vermont before transferring to Vanderbilt University in Nashville where he graduated in 1997. After graduating college Bentley worked for The Nashville Network as a researcher. Six years after graduating college Bentley released his debut album, with the first single “What Was I Thinkin’” reaching number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs. In 2005 he released his second album entitled Modern Day Drifter which was home to the hit singles “Come a Little Closer” and “Settle for a Slowdown”. Both his first and second albums became certified platinum within the first year of their release. Bentley was nominated and won his first ever Country Music Award in 2005 for the Best New Artist, and later that year he was also inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. After Carrie Underwood and Josh Turner, Bentley is the third youngest member to ever be inducted to this prestigious venue.

Dierks decided to start off 2022 on tour and continue the successful Beers on Me from 2021. The second North American tour hit more top cities like Ottawa, Vancouver, Nashville and more.
