Overnight Stat
Upon checking in the young lady was not friendly nor communicative. We were given a room in the first building on the backside upstairs, room 1 2 2. In entering the room it smelt old and stuffy, the microwave was falling apart, there was a very large frame picture of George Washington on the wall and we felt like his eyes was staring at us. The bathtub had cracks and it appeared to be mold around the base of the bathtub. Sitting on the toilet it seemed like it would break at any moment and it's very tight as far as space between the sink and the toilet. The worst was the beds when we woke up we both had bites all over our body my daughter's eye was swollen and the bites seem to match bed bug bites. We didn't eat breakfast and checked out extremely early. The young lady at checkout was the best thing about that building. The ice machine is in building 2 on the back side, this is not a hotel it is a motel.

This was a budget option but had the enormous benefit of interconnecting twin rooms (four doubles) and two bathrooms (this was fab for family with two teenagers) and an outdoor pool - the pool was better than expected - clean and reasonable size. It was all pretty basic but it ticked the American motel experience box that we wanted and was by far the best value for money we could find in Washington DC. An uber into the National Mall cost $15-20 depending on the time and day which didnt seem too much and was a better option for us than public transport which was few and far between. The included breakfast was poor compared to a British discount hotel breakfast (premier Inn for instance) - there was little cooked choice, many items ran out early on and the juice wasnt real juice, the yogurt wasnt real yogurt and the pastries or bread werent great quality. But in the end it didnt really matter - it was great for the price with comfy beds, fridge & microwave in the room and an ice dispenser in communal area.

Wasnt too bad, lamp shades and side tables could use a dusting, floor swept but it wasnt horrible. Staff very friendly. Location is busy, right on the bus line so have people walking tbru the parking lot. I was skeptical about noise throughout the night but wasnt a problem. I will stay again.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, with spacious rooms that made for a comfortable stay. Parking was easy, and the location was convenient, being close to both the mall and the airport. Overall, it's a nice and clean place to stay, offering everything needed for a relaxing visit.

Don’t stay here. Dirty, no upkeep, lack of customer service. Our room was dingy, mold in bathroom, wallpaper peeling, holes in the wall, water damage, tack strip around bathroom show signs of rust. Bathtub plugged, loud fan and damaged ceiling drywall.

The check-in was pleasant enough, and the hot breakfast buffet surpassed the continental breakfast at other places. We also liked the set-up of having a sink both inside and outside the bathroom/toilet. The deluxe room was very spacious and having the microwave and fridge/freezer was very convenient. However, we had a terrible experience of finding a huge cockroach in our room that crawled on my son's neck and head and traumatized him, and which managed to elude us - we did not have a good sleep during our 2-night stay because we were not sure if there are other critters in the room. We brought it up with Expedia who contacted the hotel management hoping to get some kind of reimbursement for our stay but it was denied. We have pictures to prove our claim.

Name seems misleading, I thought hotels was a building with hall ways and doors inside, and motels had doors outside. It’s a motel. The room we had the air conditioner barely worked. The door to the bathroom kept getting stuck closed and the door was damaged. It was clean. The towels are scratchy. Walls also thin. But the shower pressure was wonderful. The breakfast the tried. It was like they were running out of things. Not many options.

A very nice location. Close to DC without the traffic. Wonderful dining area close by at Shirlington. Nice comfortable beds and spacious room with two queen beds. Very comfortable and a nice pool.

Old, Smells, Motel, but Good Location
This was a motel setup. The good thing was the location. Room is not what the pictures show. It is old carpet and old wallpaper. The room smells musty. There was water damage on the walls. No remote in room but they did get one quick.when I asked and very nice. Breakfast closed 20 minutes early everyday. Air conditioning only worked on low. It really looks nothing like the pictures I was shocked. The bathroom shower only worked well when you flushed the toilet. But it was located in a convenient spot. I did not like the bed it was firm but my husband like them just fine. It was old and outdated. Pizza on the wall and the bed skirt. We spent very little time there so it worked out fine.
