This hotel is old and in need of a renovation. Rooms are dark and humid. Bed sheets are rough and the bed is uncomfortable.

The property was old but charming. My room when I walked in had a terrible odor. That said, as beautiful as the room was the odor was pungent. Not mold but pungent. The staff offered air freshener to mask the odor. I felt it was causing a subtle allergic reaction but my flight was early and no other room was available.

They tried 3 different rooms, one worse than the other, mildew, the carpet was wet, cigarette smell, humidity, broken toilet…. It was a horrible experience and nobody at the hotel could help me and my 3 children with the situation…. Then I got charged for 2 overnights from valet when I didn’t use the service….. a nightmare!

We always stay at Hotel Duval while visiting our daughter at FFSU. The location is perfect and the roof top bar is an added plus!

The location of the hotel was great for what we wanted to do in the area. The staff and service were all excellent. The hotel itself was nice and the rooftop lounge and patio were excellent. Our room, however, had issues. It was damp and mildew smelling and when you walked into the room the carpet felt damp. The room was also noisy when we were trying to get some sleep, with sirens going off from the fire station nearby periodically during the night.

Great location, staff, decor, and dining accommodations. Small touches and treats that add lots of value to the guest experience. Parking is difficult if you don’t valet. Air conditioners are outdated and leaves a musky smell in the rooms. We had to switch to a different room that didn’t smell so bad, and the staff was very accommodating. If it wasn’t for the odor, it would definitely be 5 stars for the costs.

The first room we got had a very strong animal odor luckily the staff was extremely nice and got us moved to another room also the parking situation was very inconvenient the lobby was beautiful..I would recommend someone to stay there…
